*It is supposed to give good luck over snow and water. I am both an avid surfer and snowboarder so i figured it had meaning and i liked the look*

turtle 3 is also my favorite for that spot, but if you were to get it over your spine, the first one would be pretty awesome

I'm going to get one of those dragons curled up in a circle on my left shoulder blade, because my nickname is sleeping dragon it's been shortened to dragon for obvious reasons.
http://www.cicelycombs.com/studio/artshow/inkdragon1.jpg Kind of like that except she'll be sleeping and it will be more intricate and colorful.

My family coat of arms on my right forearm.

A bow and arrow on my right foot.

And a moon on the back of my neck.

thanks, i really like turtle 3 as well otherwise id probably go with #2

and i ride a 6"2 custom fiberglass epoxy funboard.... ill throw you the shapers name when i grab my board next week (its at my summer home on cape cod) but its more of a high end board and ran me about $800 dollars in for it. Gorgeous though, tri fin, very well shaped, and a soft wood decal across the entire top ( The Light Brown type color on this car )

how bout yourself?
Got a couple boards from a shaper named DanO

Thats his noseglider, just a standard noserider, and a Speed dialer fish from him as well at 5'9" 20 1/2" 2 5/16"which i have been really enjoying this winter, although its a little large.
nice i like that board, ill grab a pic of mine when i get it back down to my school tommrow and post it up.

I also have a 5"4 short board, but i dont really use it at the cape much as the waves dont really break right for that kind of thing. So im pretty content with the funboard for now.

I have two tattoos.one is an old Cherokee design, the water spider, kananesgi amaiyehi. This little spider stole fire for the people back in the day. The other my girlfiend and I designed based on a vision quest experience I had many years ago in the Black Hills. As buzzard as the thunderbird. Thats a long story. My ears are pieced multiple times including a hole or two that ripped out when my earring got caught on branch out in the woods. Been contemplating another tattoo for some time.

I have three tats. A guitar on my left bicep, an orchid with tribal on my right, and the bust of a woman on my right shoulder.

I'm seriously thinking of having them lasered. I'm not in the place that anymore.

Both of my ears are pierced, but I haven't worn earings since the 90's. I grew out of that too.

Be ready for some serious pain if you do go through with getting them lasered...

Only reason I decided to actually get my tattoo done is it meant something to me, as I strive to do my best in life. The tattoo means "righteous duty" and "everyone has a higher purpose," among MANY other things. Each section of lines means many different things, which can all be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book_of_Changes

I knew it was a tattoo that I would never regret, so I got it. It's going to be a constant reminder to keep on doing my best to fulfill my life's purpose, whatever that may be. I'll know when I die. :P

Also, I figured I might as well try out getting a tat. Always kinda wanted one just to experience it... I mean, hell, you only live once...

got my eyebrow and nips pierced. tattoos in the works. i respect people that always say they want tattoos to mean something, but for me i want something that i can see and have a chuckle. i want something to fit my personality and the only way to match that would be something off the wall. i assume i will get one or two that really have significant meaning but that wont happen anytime soon.

The I Ching! What a wonderful source for a tattoo. You got the whole bagua! Cool. A spiritual tattoo will always have meaning, even if you you move to different plane, it will remind where you've been and where your going. Not like some badass tattoo which looses all meaning when you decide badass isn't where you want to be. When i was in the Marines i saw guys get all these bad ass tats(making our friend Ed Hardy's work look like poodles and pink ribbons) I used to think, boy thats gonna be a big mistake later on.Knew a guy that had a swastika tattoo and fell in love with a Jewish girl. Still has the tat but the girl left screaming when he took his shirt off. I also love the ones pseudo badass teens give themselves with needles and thread. Obviously a dictionary was not part of the equipment.

I forget if I've posted in here before but might as well update anyway...
Tattoos on my ribs and inner foot (below the ankle bone), and a variety of piercings (7, not including the usual one in each earlobe), including two new dermal anchors below my clavicle that I'm loving and hoping will heal well!

I've always been fascinated by the body modification world and am even considering becoming a tattoo artist after I graduate from school. Even if not, I'm lucky to be in the creative field where piercings and tattoos are more widely acceptable...

Isn't it amazing how little this nation has grown tolerance wise in the past 45 years. Back in the 60's tattoos meant to lots of people jail time, biker gangs etc. We were a whole generation that was gonna change all that(meaning racial descrimination, corporate wars, us vs. them) and what happened. The same old prejudices still exist and it looks like a sizeable portion of my generation cut their hair, tossed out their tie dyes and became Sarah Palin supporters. I'd much rather support Michael Palin.

I think some people do still see tattoos and think "convict/biker/gangster/etc" - particularly in certain locations like the neck and hands. But, I'm glad to see a wider acceptance of them nowadays - I'm a believer in being able to look the way you'd like to look and not being discriminated against for it, particularly for a job.

Thanks Mustafabey. I still don't regret it, and don't think I ever will.
