Going Out Of Town...

Well, we're back. It was awesome, and we really hate returning to reality.

Here are some highlights of our trip:

-Walked all around Times Square; inside all the shops and whatnot.
-Empire State Building at midnight, both the 86th and 102nd floors. Incredible.
-Surprised the wife with tickets to Rent from the TKTS booth. There was no line on a Monday at 7PM, so just walked right up and got them for $110. Show was excellent for being off-Broadway now (we've seen it three times previous, one time being at MTSU).
-Harvey with Jim Parsons (Sheldon on Big Bang Theory) playing the lead. Very funny.
-Spiderman: Turn off the Dark musical. Lots of special effects, good acting, good music.
-Wicked the musical. Shows what happened before Dorothy arrives to Oz. Excellent story about the Wicked Witch of the West, great music, great everything...
-Ghost: The Musical. Yes, based off of the movie. The effects of him moving through objects and jumping in/out of Oda Mae's body was well done. Excellent music, great actors... This was one of my favorite shows, along with Spiderman. It was just really enjoyable.
-American Museum of Natural History. WAY too much stuff to look at, but very interesting.

Ate at some good places around Times Square... Hard Rock Cafe, TGI Friday's (had the same ribs I got there when I was a kid... exactly as I remembered them: delish), and some other places like little pizza shops and whatnot. We used the kitchen in our suite to full advantage by picking up some groceries at the Duane Reade (NYC's Walgreens I guess) right down the street. We never felt unsafe anywhere we went, even at 2AM. Walked everywhere except to AMNH, which was a $8 cab ride. Overall, we had a blast and we're sad it's over.

Sounds like you managed to squeeze a lot into your brief visit.

(oh, Walgreens owns Duane Reede so your estimation was pretty close ;) )

Sounds like a return trip will need to be planned. This time, coordinate with us "locals" and we'll have a blast!

Those are preview pics the photographer gave us. With how good they are, I can't wait for the finished batch.
