Wow, that's really cool. You found all that in Missouri?

I'd love to get out and explore old buildings and whatnot. There's a ton of old barns and houses out in the country where my wife's parents live in West Tennessee. I went in an old house when I was four-wheeling with the wife long ago (when we started dating actually), and it was filled with hay, haha. I guess the farmer who owned the land used it for animals to live in during the winter or something.

St. Louis is an ooold city. Lots of great areas around here. East St. Louis has a great number of huge industrial parks hidden away in the woods, just waiting to be checked out.

Cool. Not a whole lot arond here that I know about.
Stuie, you're way too responsible to be doing dangerous shit like this. ^_^

there are some places here, but the cops patrol them heavily to keep people away.
Honestly, I'm always surprised with how cool cops are here. Been busted a few times, and they usually just say to hit the road. Sometimes if you approach them before going in, they're just okay with it.

the main place around here is an old rubber factory...if im not mistaken some kid fell through the floor and broke his neck 4 stories down. since then cops are all over that place keeping people out.

E. St Louis?!!??!? I don't own enough win mag ammo to feel safe in that shit hole.

edit -asus keyboard blows

Honestly, I see East St. Louis as less of a dangerous city, and more as a completely abandoned city. Downtown E-STL in the middle of the day, and there are probably four people around. Every site we've seen there is basically in the middle of nowhere.

I don't really fear the "bad neighborhoods" these days.

AWESOME PHOTOS!

Coleman, you are the guy!

Here are some photos from a 130 year old church and the remains of a local manor house.

 • 5 weeks later...
3rd trip to Armour Packing was a smashing success. The woods swallowing the buildings made for a great set of pictures.
