[/quote] I've actually ran across three different types of Amers and also Hafas/Butterflies (the Hafa is a different stem than the Butterfly but they are similar enough that they are mixed up by vendors). [/quote] i'm pretty sure mine is different....my hose port has the bubble on the end, like most of my other KMs. does that mean i have the new model? i bought mine from HJ. I'm sure even the initials of the vendor you're talking about will be edited out of your last post there. This is the reason you could not link it. Different vendors call KMs different names. A certain model KM may be called one thing by one vendor, but another name by a different vendor. The name is simply for classification purposes. Gotta call it something, right? Anyway, make sure not to get too caught up in what it's name is... Many of the KMs have the same name by different vendors, but some do not. Really there's no official names for any of them... They're built using the same methods but the OG is slightly different in design. The brass ring, sunken internal ports, and engraved hose port would be the biggest differences, which are what make that stem and the OG butterfly & hafa unique IMO. If you don't care for that, it doesn't really matter. Hence why John in his vids is like, "Yeah, I don't know what I'm gonna call these new KMs, maybe the 2010's." Even though most of them are called the same thing by most vendors, it's been my experience there's no official name for any of them. Catch my drift?
