Breaking In The Nammor

Recommended Posts

Ok, someone in an earlier thread mentioned that it may take several, 5-10, sessions to break in a nammor. Aka, no plastic taste. Can anyone confirm or deny this fact? Also, would cleaning it with vodka or lemon juice expedite the process?

My Nammor had quite a powerful plastic smell to it for a little bit. I'd rinse it in hot water and maybe some lemon juice if you have some around. Probably won't take it all out but will do a good bit of work on the smell.

When I get any new hose, I just hang it over a door knob for a day and then use it. For the Nammore run warm not hot water through it a bunch of times, blow out as much water as you can and hang it for a day. Works like a charm for me. I never had any plastic taste what so ever.

It was me who was complaining about the Nammour...

I've tried everything... Hot water, cold water, lemon juice, vinegar, and vodka... The hose STILL has a plastic taste to it and it masks the flavor of the shisha. It really is ridiculous... I'd f'n send the things back if I haven't already smoked with em 7 times (coming up to the big 10). The plastic "wang" does dissipate with each use but not by much. I've wasted a bunch of tobacco already on this damn hose and by session 10, if it still tastes like crap, I'm sending them back. There really should've been a disclaimer listed on the website when you buy these things. Edited by Nabiscuit

get some bottled lemon juice. mix 1/4 cup with 1/2 cup hot water and slush it around in your hose for a few mins. Then drain it. Then repeat. Then run hot water through it for a few mins.

That should work. It's what I did, anway... and it worked. Although people seem to have different experiences with the nammor hose. Some people claim that their nammor hose leaks... some say the plastic taste is strong, etc.

For me, my nammor hose is fine. The taste went away with the lemon juice treatment, and it doesn't leak at all.

Confirm for about 5-6 uses.

The first few SUCK, big time. Lots of plastic taste, its kinda gross.

After about 5 or so it's pretty much gone, after 6 or 7 it should be gone.

yep this is about the norm for me also
