Amaren Strawberry

Setup: - 30" 3 hose Egyptian Pharaoh, cool water in the base

Coals: - Golden quicklights

Appearance: Pretty nice cut, juicy but not too wet. Good consistency.

Smell: Nice strawberry kool-aid type smell. Strong smell.

Taste: Fairly potent taste of strawberry kool-aid type drink mixed with hawaiian punch. Long lasting strawberry flavor.

Smoke: Nothing special, just an average medium thickness, though it thickened up with another coal on, but still not much.

Duration: Lasted us 3 people an hour and 40 minutes and the flavor was still evident. Coals died out before all the shisha was actually used.

Buzz: No buzz at all.

Overall: Out of the two other strawberry flavors I have tried (Nakhla & Al Waha) this has them both beat good. Very nice strawberry flavor and lasts a long time. The only thing was the smoke wasn't real thick and there was no buzz. 8/10 Edited April 4, 2007 by mushrat

Amaren White Grape

Setup: - Mya qt

Coals: - 2 quick lights

Appearance: red and juicy

Smell: Once I opened the package i thought smells like chocolate but then I took another wiff and it was def white grape

Taste: Solid taste of white grape. Cant complain

Smoke: Not to many clouds, Just about average

Duration:Still smoking cant tell you

Buzz: No buzz at all. Thats what I like

Overall: I personally hate white grape but this shisha isn't to bad I like it. I'll give it a 7/10

Amaren White Grape

Setup: MYA Mini-Orb Acrylic 2-Hose

Coals: 3 Kings 33mm Quicklites, 1 at first, 1.5 needed at a time though.

Look: Moist, dense, red shisha, average cut.

Smell: Mmm smelled a little like bubblegum, nice and grapey.

Flavour: Very nice, powerful white grape flavour! Even at times when smoke was thin, the flavour was definitely there.

Smoke Thickness: At first, I was disappointed, but then I learned that this shisha needs more heat than Al-Fakher, Layalina, etc.., So I lit another half red-hot, and it was some of the smokiest smoke I've ever had.

Duration: I smoked it for an hour and 15 minutes before I called it a night, but it wasn't quite dead.

Buzz: I actually noticed some sort of feeling, but not like hardcore buzz. I think it was just my reaction to the White Grape flavour. Not bad or anything though.

Overall: I think this stuff is awesome, and will definitely be purchasing some.

Rating: 8.35/10, I really liked it, it smoked well, never harsh, long lasting. Great taste, I wanna try more flavours!

Amaren Apple

Setup:

Large Egyptian pipe. Small tangiers funnel, foil, Oman olivewood coals. Plain water in base.

Filled phunnel just below foil.

Appearance: Red, sticky, wet. Medium cut

Smell: Apples, fruity, sweet smell like AW 5 star

Smoke: Decent, but not spectacular.

Taste: Quite mild. No real apple taste come through, just vaguely fruity. Similar to AW Five Star without the buzz.

Buzz: Very little if any

Apple must be a hard flavor to do. I have yet to find one that has an in-your-face apple presence. Good room aroma from smoke. Pleasant enough. I rate it a 6/10

Amaren White Grape

Setup: SS Dragon , base sprite

Coals: - 1 quick lights

Appearance: red and slippery

Smell: Once I opened the package the pungent odor almost invaded my head

Taste: Pretty good

Smoke: Not bad

Duration:15 min untill i had the coal land on my hand

Buzz: This is gonna sound funny but as my first buzz walls were breathing

Overall: good flavor but im an apple man 6/10

Amaren White Russian

hookah: Mya QT
Bowl: Medium Phunnel
Screen/Foil: Reynolds HD
Hose: Mya hose
Coals: 2 sets of 2 Starlight Coconut Naturals
Base Liquid: Water & Ice

Appearance: has sort of a AF cute, kinda sticky
Smell: kinda like a white russian but with a hint of a coffee smell
Taste: taste great, I wouldnt say it taste like a white russian exactally but its got a nice taste, cant figure it out though
Smoke:pretty good clouds
Duration: about 1.5-2 hours
Buzz: none
I would give this a 8/10 only because I thought the tast was off.

Amaren Peach

Setup: - Mya qt

Coals: - 2 quick lights

Appearance: Red a bit juicy.

Smell: Incredibly strong smell of Peach

Taste: Wicked nice taste, it tastes just like it smells.

Smoke: Medium, not too big and not too small

Duration:Still smoking cant tell you

Buzz: A little buzz, but that's probably from the Tangiers earlier.

Overall: I'm not a fan of Peach, but I wanted something fruity and this flavor is a good change up. 7/10

Ameren watermelon

Setup: - Mya geleto

Coals: - 2 quick light halfs

Appearance: Red and a little juicy.

Smell: very strong melon smell

Taste: tastes just like it smells.

Smoke:super thick clouds

Duration:smoked for a half hour but plenty left for later

Buzz: no buzz but short session.

Overall: Best melon I have tried yet.(over roman, af, naklah, al waha)

Ameren tequila sunrise

Setup: - Mya geleto

Coals: - 2 quick light halfs

Appearance: Red and a little juicy.

Smell: very strong citrus smell

Taste: tastes just like the drink.

Smoke:super thick clouds

Duration:hour and a half
Buzz: good buzz

Overall: great taste long lasting. this is my new go to brand. especialy since it's $6 for 250g at a local store 9/10

Amaren coconut mint

Setup: - Mya geleto, with phunnel bowl

Coals: - 4 quick light halfs

Appearance: Red and a little juicy.

Smell: natural coconut smell. like when you cut one in half

Taste: tastes just like coconut milk with a hint of mint after taste

Smoke:super thick clouds

Duration:2 hours

Buzz: good buzz

Amaren peach

Setup: - Mya geleto, with phunnel bowl

Coals: - 4 quick light halfs

Appearance: Red and a bit juicy.

Smell: a real strong peach smell

Taste: a real subtle peach flav. added Arizona peach tea to base and that made it great

Smoke: not the thickness I'm use to with amaren but not bad

Duration:2 hours

Buzz: good buzz

Overall: 7/10 good flav but could have been stronger

AMAREN CHERRY

Set up: 28" Syrian pipe with base filled with cold water. Three coconaras, aluminum foil screen, glazed 3" clay bowl.

Appearance: Dark red, large cut, medium juice. Pretty stemmy.

Smell: Like cherry cola, dark and sweet.

Smoke: Awesome, one of the best I've ever tried.

Duration: 3+ hours.

Buzz: Medium buzz but I was on a relatively empty stomach.

Flavor: It was a sweet, pleasant cherry with a touch of cola and a little spicy! Amazing flavor that lasted from first coal to the last.

Overall: 10/10. I never give out perfect scores but this was such a nice taste, awesome smoke, long lasting and good price. I was initially drawn to this tobacco because it's almost 20% cheaper than Al Waha. I will try to keep this one in my stash all the time.

Ameren Rum punch

Setup: - Mya geleto

Coals: - 2 quick light halfs

Appearance: Red and a little juicy.

Smell: very strong fruit punch smell

Taste: tastes a little fruity. a light rum type after taste

Smoke:super medium clouds

Duration:hour and a half

Buzz: good buzz

Overall: great taste long lasting. I give it an 8 out of ten

Setup: - Sapphire Hookah, Mya style bowl

Coals: - One Golden QL, cut in half.

Appearance: Red and a slightly juicy, got it a partially used packet from neighbors and it did run down the bottom of the bowl just slightly.

Smell: Fruit punch

Taste: Tastes alot like Hawaiian Tropic Fruit Punch

Smoke: Decent clouds, but it's not Nakh or AF level.

Duration:2 hours

Buzz: Eh.. not much of one

Overall: Having gotten this from others about a month ago, and thinking it was probably cheap crap given the box design, I was surprised that it was actually quite smokeable and tasty. I'm not a huge fan of Fruit Punch, but seeing as my local store carries it, I'd smoke it again in a pinch if I couldn't get to the mall to buy my usual AF and Nakh. I would say that it would even be good for having a few people over because it's a mild flavor that everyone can smoke. It's nothing amazing, but it's more then decent. It CAN be temperamental if you add too much heat, so keep the heat level consistent and don't go overboard on coals. I give it a [b]8.5/10[/b]

Setup: - Some other guy's small pumpkin.

Coals: - One Golden QL.

Appearance: The guy showed me the pack.. looked dark brown, slightly wet.

Smell: Lightly minty

Taste: Tastes like a girl scout thin mint, with a nuttiness that was there then gone.[b]10/10[/b]

Smoke: BIG clouds.. super impressive and caught me off guard! [b]9/10[/b]

Duration: I had about 5 hits. The other guys had been smoking bowl 1 for an hour they said.

Buzz: Light.. I think Amaren is washed??

Overall: I have always been skeptical of Amaren because it seems to be fairly cheap and wet shisha, however this was SOOOOO good! It's also cheaper then other chomint's made by AF and others. I may have to pick some of this up next time i buy shisha. A fantastic flavor [font="Arial Black"]10/10[/font]

Coals: - One 3K Quicklite, then added another

Appearance: Wet!

Smell: Like a cheap fake latte from 7-Eleven

Taste: Tastes like faint Cappucino, Caramel but overly sweet, bland. [b]5/10[/b]

Smoke: Unimpressive.. may be due to the fact that it's so wet.

Duration: 1 hour.

Buzz: Light.. I think Amaren is washed??

Overall: Unlike the Chocomint, which is the only Amaren I liked and will possibly smoke again, this stuff was just BORING. When compared to AF Cafe Latte, this stuff doesn't even match up. Save yourself the boredom and get Cafe Latte, it's SO much better and smoother. The flavor started nice and got sweet near the end to the point of being overpowering. It's as if they dumped as much syrupy flavoring as they could on the stuff. It was gooey and made cleaning the top of my stem a pain. The flavor took some serious rinsing to get out of the bowl. This stuff got harsh near the end when I added 2 coals because the smoke was pathetic. Not a horrible flavor, but I won't smoke it again. [b]6/10[/b]

Packaging : Vibrant Purple with a bull on it(you see what they did thar) Not the most elegant desing but will really attract attention. Use this for display in your shop anytime. The baggy that holds the tobacco is dam hard to get open.

[b]Taste: So sweet on the inhale njum tastes like a certain energy drink just not bitter at all. On the exhale there are slight sour notes! and has a very wierd but rnjoyable afterataste[/b]
