My Hookah Escapade!

Whats up hookaholics! me and my hookah smokin buddy were sitttin around thinkin that theres gotta be better local shops than we have 2 buy some shisha so we did some brainstorming and i remembered a place that was mentioned here long ass time ago...monsters of rock in san jose ca! so we got directions and off we went in rush hour traffic on our hookah adventure! ok so monsters of rock has 2 locations in san jose about 15 mins apart so we go to one of them and were kinda dissapointed at thier selection. they had TONS of 50g samplers rangin from nakhla al waha afzal and al amir. they also had al amir 250g and pharohs 250g's. prices were average. i never tried pharohs and they didnt have much variety so i picked up fruitopia which was 14.99. they had a few mya hookahs and a few stargates along with the usual chinese mods and egyptian hookahs. i spent 14.99 on the pharohs which is kinda pricey but ohh well. leavin the shop we were thinkin we drove all the way out here for this my friend remembered an international shop he went 2 3 years ago that carried a very small amount of tobacco. so we drove up there and they had hookahs galore at the front window. we walk in and i was amazed at the amount of hookahs they had thier. they had TONS of fumari, some starbuzz, pharohs, al waha, nakhla and sultan. prices for fumari were 7.99! cheaper than buyin direct i was amazed! starbuzz was 19.99 which is awesome cuz the headshop really close 2 my house charges 25 bucks. they didnt have much starbuzz left which kinda sucked but he said shipment should come in soon with more. what i also noticed about fumari they had new flavors not out on the market yet (dunno how he got em) which were a dollar cheaper cuz they were not labeled. the flavors were sex on the beach, white russian, hawaiian melon, and hookah star (probably a mixed fruit). my friend bought a new mya washable hose which cost 12.99 and and black grape and i bought a box of easy lites for 8 bucks. so we were like cool we got a new place 2 go 2!

anyways drivin 2 his cousins shop we were like fuck it lets go to the other monsters of rock location. it looked like a hole in the wall. boy were looks deciveing they had a huge ass smoke shop area (the front is more of a skater/novelty shop) with more hookahs and tobacco than i have ever seen in my life at a shop. they had more hookahs than bongs it was that awesome! they had a shitload of 50g samplers rangin from nakhla, al amir, al waha fantasia, hookah hookah, and soex. they also had starbuzz at 20 bucks and TONSS of fumari at 10 bucks. they had pharohs and havana as well. we were talkin to the guy for a while about hookahs and our cultural backgrounds (he thought i was arab and was suprised when i told him i was mexican). we were tellin him how fremont (where i live the shop is like 20-25 mins away) had the worst headshops and a good place that would def make good business because their is a decent middle eastern population where i live, fremont is afghan central. anyways i ended buying havana tropical peach at 15 bucks and 50g sampler of fantasia strawberry daquiri. he gave me a flyer for 10% off next time i go. it was cool cuz he was talkin about how he liked nakhla because its strong and i was the only other smoker he has talked 2 in a while that liked stronger unwashed tobacco. i was gonna ask him if he ever tried tangiers but it slipped my mind. hey eric im gonna bring him a sample and your website information...maybe you could sell some of ur goods 2 this guy so i can buy ur stuff local! very nice guy!

our 4th location was our old fave go to place, international food bazaar that sells AW nahkla and fumari. we didntbuy anythin there but its the best place 2 buy an egyptian hookah i got my 27inch syrian for 45 bucks there and they used 2 carry nours regularly but havent seen them in a while. so to make a long story short we came home with sum havana tropical peach, fantasia strawberry daquiri, pharohs fruitopia, and fumari black grape. the fruitopia is ok nothin special def not worth the 15 bucks i spent. the fantasia was shitty tasted like nada, and the havana peach was amazing! tasted like peach trolli o but then again like a fresh juicy peach at the same time....kinda wierd but very good nonethless. so all u bay area folks outta check out monsters of rock location 2. 4get the street its on but dont go 2 the one on blossom hill rd. so that ends my hookah escapade it was worth it findin a good local shop...finally!!! most def. we been itchin 2 find a good shop. whats cool is that my friends cousin works in the area so we can always have him pick up the stuff for us and pay him later...he used 2 do it all the time at the international food bazaar when they used 2 carry mazaaj...one of the best smokes ever sadly i can never find it anymore. I did my own local mission yesterday. Went to a new local store. They had mostly AW, but in pretty bad flavors (mostly floral flavors). They also had AF, Nakhla, and some Havana. And cheap hookahs and Goldens.

Dude, I am so glad you got the Tropical Peach instead of just the regular Peach. Havana Tropical Peach is one of the best peaches, but I've only seen it sold at our local hookah bar (I get it from time to time, 10-12 bucks). Havana regular Peach is good and used to give me a killer buzz, but the tropical peach tastes much better.

If any of you can make it to the shop pimpito suggests, you should buy some of that Havana. It is a force to be reckoned with!

well monsters of rock, the good location is on bark lane. its called monsters of rock 2 and as for the international market ill have 2 ask my friend he was drivin so he knows the addy. its well worth 2 go 2 at least monsters. if you like fumari they got every flavor they carry with the exception of those new ones i mentioned.

hmm kind of reminds me when my friends and I would drive to Guess Hookah in chicago to pick up some goods then to House of Hookah in northen chicago to get some skittles shisha and than back to the northwest side to smoke in my friends hookah bar.
