JtWo
So I was watching movies on my laptop outside and i got the great Idea of busting out the hookah. I set it all up then I figured out i was pretty much out of tobacco except for one half year(if not more) old tub of starbuzz irish creme. I think it rolled around a few times cause the whole tub was sticky and the starbuzz label was all yellow. I looked inside and it looked a LITTLE dry. I couldn't smell it cause I have a bad sense of smell. So I packed a bowl anyways and smoked away. It didn't taste like Irish Creme, so I finished one bowl and stopped. a day and a half later i became pretty sick. It's been 4 days and I'm finally feeling better. Could that have been the cause of the old tobacco? what's the worse that can happen from smoking old tobacco?
Codename067
From personal experince, I would say no.I have smoked tobacco thats well over 1 year old, and I was just fine.
mattarios2
i'd say no, but depends on how old, i am guessing as long as it is in a air tight container it will be good for quite sometime, but come on, really really old like well over 2 years over its exp. date, i'd prob not smoke that.i've smoked shisha about a year or so old and was fine. GreatPigHookah
Just a few weeks ago, I found an old jar of Nahkla Rose that I had pushed back into the closet and forgoten about. It was one of my favorites, but I had a few jars of it and apparently the current one got pushed off a shelf and I guess I just opened a fresh jar thinking I had finished it already. It was almost 3 years old. It was almost half full and was sealed fairly well in it's original jar inside a ziplock. I was out of tobacco at the time so I added a little glycerine to it and it smoked pretty well...better than Romman. You're tobacco probably didn't make you sick. Most likely just a coincidence. Try smoking some more and let us know.
flick92
I was told to mix a little bit of honey to get rid of the dryness. Not to much though.

Not to much though.Exactly what I did for some 2 year old Romman, smoked like new. Add like half a teaspoon for 100g and mix it up real good and let it sit over night... made in the shade.
