zachf88 Posted July 6, 2008 Share Posted July 6, 2008 Hey guys, after going to hookah bars to smoke hookah for years now, I finally decided to buy a hookah for myself. Also, there aren't any hookah bars in Nova Scotia, Canada due to the smoke laws. So I bought a 31" Stratus in silver and an 18" mini mya in blue. I purchased them from www.Hookah-shisha.com, and hope I won't have too many issues with customs. I was wondering what some good shisha was.... I purchased romman cherry and raspberry, but who makes the best strawberry shisha, vanilla shisha, cherry shisha, and a tropical flavor shisha? Al Fakher is pretty good. I can't attest to Potion or Layalina as I've never tried them. Some other good brands are Starbuzz, Nakhla, and Tangiers (when you're ready). And welcome to the forum. hassanshisha Posted July 6, 2008 Share Posted July 6, 2008 Romman is poor compared to Al-Fakher. AF do an excellent Vanilla (smoking it now). AF Cherry is nice if fresh. AF Strawberry can be great but can also be a little too light in its flavour so ensure you get a fresh batch. Tropical? I'm not sure what to recommend. I only got 50g of raspberry and 50g of cherry (both Romman) so I hope customs doesn't have an issue with it. There's a smoke shop near my place that sells hookah stuff, it's just really expensive (only place in the city that sells hookahs and drug paraphernalia). But i'm going to check out what types of shisha they have tomorrow! I can't wait for the hookahs to get here and to get started! And thanks guys for all the help! They only had one brand of shisha..... i forget the name but it was something along the lines of "el nacque" looked on the internet and couldn't really find any reviews or the actual name.....EDIT: I think it was el nakhla.... Vanilla...Romman or Al Waha isn't great alone, but pretty good when mixed. i haven't tried many strawberries, but I know Potion's Strawberry Kiwi is great, I would suspect thier strawberry is good too.Let me say for a flavor that is awesome and I always have Romman "Good Times" ...it's tropical Mint.... jezter6 Posted July 7, 2008 Share Posted July 7, 2008 I personally love Al Waha Mixed Frut (or Fruit's as they call it) mixed or alone.Everyone has different tastes, as you'll see by recommendations all over the board. Your best bet is to pick up smaller boxes and start sampling like crazy until you know what you're into based on cut, wetness, and overall flavor.
