NO-WHERE-NEAR, stem weighs like nothing, not even a pound I'd say, my mya stem weighed something like 3.7 pounds close to 4. But like everyone says they are hand made and they are bought for their smoking abilities. So I will not judge till I smoke it. The only dissapointment for me is that the vase is or "seems" tiny, maybe it isn't but it seems it cuz I'm used to my MYA? I guess after shooting a pic of them side by side, it's just the width that is tricking me into thinking the vase that came with the KM is so much smallerThe vase is 5 3/4 inches wide and 8 inches tall. Here are some pics :I also got 3 50g boxes of nakhla, tongs, 10 mouth pieces, 2 rolls of coals, a carrying bag, 2 brushes one wide and one thin, but it came w/ the hose that comes with the dual tone heart of a lion which I was pleased about as I liked that one better than the one that it is supposed to come with. If anyone is in need of some more pics let me know and I'll take them for you.All of it was 66 bucks shipped, oh and I got a free box of exotica coals also.I'll update you all after I smoke it, maybe I'll do a video. I tried just pulling the hose w/o a setup and it def has way smoother air flow than a MYA for sure, but we'll see after I smoke it. mattarios2 Posted June 25, 2008 Author Share Posted June 25, 2008 Guys, it is a great hookah, the purge purges the same just like in canon's review of the tri metal, it completely clears all the smoke in the vase. I may get a diff. base for it because since its so small having a razan hose on it, if you move to suddenly it makes the entire hookah move. It smokes incredibly well I don't know what to say right now, lost for words. Much much better than the MYA or any other hookah i've ever smoked. mattarios2 Posted June 25, 2008 Author Share Posted June 25, 2008 Oh and also, I think I like the SS better than Brass, excluding all the technical talk w/ metal and stuff, after a few months with brass on my mya, it starts to become funky colors, and starts to stain and just, doesn't look like brass anymore. With the stainless steel, it's much easier to dry (w/ a hair dryer) because the water slides off the pipe, and you can easily examine and look at the stem to see what kind of quality it is in. I know you mentioned it kind of shook when you moved the hose too quickly, was it unstable even when full of water in the base? I'm sure you looked at the duel-tone version too. It comes with what appears to be a much larger base. Were you turned off by the copper? And have you smoked any other KMs to compare it to? If you used a really thin hose you'd prob be fine, but with a big hose like a razan it's a no go. I didn't like the dual tone version, a bit goddy for me. I have smoked one other KM that was my fathers friends. Don't know what kind his was, this one seems to pull better than his. Even though I haven't smoked out of a ton of KM's this thing pulls like a dream. So easy to inhale, barely even have to try, and it purges the entire base, works perfectly.For the price it can't be beat, especially if you have another base you can use.
