drfishy520
I smoked some Smiley's Plum flavored shisha last night, and I can't seem to get the smell out of my hookah. I'm usually just a mint guy, so smell has never really been a problem before. Any tips for getting rid of the smell? Thanks

Allia22
Or vinegar. I've been preaching a lot about it lately, but it really works.

I've been preaching a lot about it lately, but it really works.i used vinegar at first to clean my hookah. it did an alright job until i decided to buy a big bottle of lemon juice and realized that it works better than vinegar. ahzwald
yea vinegar should work well. i use it in my normal smokeing pipes to get the old tobacco smell and tast out, if it works in them it oughta work in a hookah really well
mrmonk7663
I use this citrus 420 cleaner stuff. It is a liquid mixed with some kind of crytal crap or something. I don't have the bottle with me or I'd give you the specifics, but I got it off one of the popular hookah sites, which the name of said site has slipped my mind. Anyway, the stuff works pretty darn good for me.Mike

lickirish
Formula 420 - the "natural" version, is really awesome. Its basically citrus rind extract (citrus seems to remove residue from most types of smoking devices, regardless of what you are smoking out of it), rubbing alcohol, and epsom salt. I usually just make my own mixture out of rubbing alcohol and epsom salt because A) they sell this at the grocery store and its cheap and easy. The salt does not dissolve in alcohol, so just dump a bunch of alcohol in the base, pour the salt in, and shake it up until the crap is gone. Works well for the bowls if you use a kitchen mixing bowl and use your hands to rub the junk out of the hookah bowl. Just make sure to rinse well, multiple times and let it dry.I wonder what would happen if I added lemon juice to my at home mix?
jamesh2
can you tell us how much alcohol and salt your putting in it?
Sonthert
Well if 420 natural is just citrus rind extract...lemon juice should work nicely. Beer. Vinegar. 10% rubbing alcohol/90% water. Take your pick.
