Some brands are really good (Land O Lakes, Richfood), some are mediocre (Southern Comfort, Turkey Hill), others are just bad (Pet, some store brands). Some makers also release a "holiday custard" which is a less spiced variety typically. Same caveat applies to brands. I have been known to go through a half gallon of the stuff in an afternoon.
