New Km Purge Valves

Recommended Posts

The difference on each of those valves is the cap that screws on. There should be no difference on how well they purge, that has more to do with how it's routed, diameter, etc.. The cap doesn't mean much other than for looks.

So the holes on the one style are purely asthetic?

They both have holes in them.

Lets say one has bigger holes in the cap, then it will have less restriction when you purge.

Another thing the cap does is holds the ball bearing in.

They both function exactly the same.

Your welcome greek, you getting a KM sometime?

Ya I'm dying to get one. Maybe you can help give me some advice. I can't really decide which one to get. I like the design of the exotica, the shaft being all SS, aka, no pears. They just look a little cheap to me. But I want to take it around campus, so I want to get one thats semi-portable. I was thinking about the classic one they have at thehookah, or maybe the exotica jr. at gothookahs. I heard that they all smoke pretty much the same, just design differences, although I don't know if that is true or not. And eric claims the new ones aren't built as well as the older ones. Although I don't know which ones are new and which ones are old styles. Plus, even if the new ones aren't built as well, what other option would I have? I hear how great KM's are, so naturally I want one. What do you think?

Both gothookahs and thehookah are good.

Design differences are like those caps, for looks mostly. The KM with acrylic inserts (pear) compared to the solid SS will smoke essentially the same. When looking at which on is more portable, make sure you get a nice bag to carry it. Doesn't need to be a hookah bag, just something padded. I bring my Mya (26 in) all around town, you just need a bag that'll fit it.

I would say go for which one looks the coolest from those two companies. You can't go wrong.

Check out the Heart of Lion or whatever it's called, it's a Km but only 23" so it'll be easily portable.

I would have to get a new vase, the one it comes with is tiny. I have no idea which size vase would fit it. I assume all KM's have the same diameter. But if I have to buy a new vase I might as well use the money to get a different KM.

As far as being portable, I don't want one that is too small. I don't think 23" is tiny by any means, but 40" is probably too big. I'm thinking I might get the 29" KM Classic from thehookah, seems like a good compromise. Although I don't know if that is large enough to set on the ground.

Honestly the vase that is there is really not as tiny as it seems. It does look small but b/c its so wide it holds quite a bit of water. I had all intentions of replacing mine and after using it a few times there is no way I'm changing it.

It seems like it would be really easy to knock over. Do you have the 22" one or the 23" dual tone? I just feel that it wouldn't be able to support the weight
of a nammor hose without falling over. Although maybe the base is really heavy

The wider it is the harder it should be to acutal knock over so the base it comes with may very well be better at staying upright then a traditional egyptian base. Someone else that purchased one(I think it was mattarios) was using his with a Nammor and didnt mention any issues, I'm sure it would be more then fine.

It's a great hookah but with a razan or nammor I noticed the hookah would spin, it looks like the vase is wide but in reality it has a base below the part that flares out on the vase, so it doesn't actually sit that wide, it is a much smaller area to sit. If you are going to use a big diesel hose, I vote to get a different base.
