Brownman18
So i am now ready to start smoking again as i got rid of all the weird murmurs my lungs produced. And i got in today 3 boxes of coco naro coals which i must say smell amazing and im stoked too use, Two new nammor black hoses. And 3 tangiers, bubble gum, cool strawberry and passionfruit. Now for the tangiers, how do you store these? the packaging they came in from h-s.com appears to have only a one time use system, as in once i open the plastic bag its concealed in (behind packaging) it doesnt look like it can close up properly. Is it safe to chuck it all into plastic tupperware for the tangiers? And for smoking tangiers, i will be using a regular bowl, since my phunnel broke in the move, is this ok ?and i must sayTHAT TANGIERS HAS THE BEST SMELL I HAVE EVER SMELLED of shisha, after 3 years of nakhla i don't think i will ever not have tangiers again, i think i'll be ordering 3-4 of these gems with each order and smoke them sparingly. hookah hippie
Keep your tangiers in something airtight but be sure to accumulate it before you smoke it It can be smoked in a standard bowl but I do perfer using the phunnel happy smoking

Dom
i use tupperware for all my tobacco, including tangiers. it works fine.there are plenty of people out there who prefer to smoke tangiers out of a traditional bowl instead of a phunnel. in fact, the best smoke i've gotten off of a bowl that i packed myself was in a Mya bowl. best bowl of tangiers, though, was when Eric packed me one himself onto a phunnel. a phunnel really is better, but you can still have a fantastic smoke out of a regular bowl. dom209
as long as it is washed tangiers you should be able to pack it into a standard egyptian bowl... but i still suggest getting a phunnel bowl because thats wat eric suggests and thats what i use, and i never have a abad bowl with a phunnel full of tangiers

spoolinspoon
I have found that putting tangiers in a somewhat non-airtight container being the best. always ready to smoke out of the tub.
Bulldog_916
Try this for a normal bowl...pack it in there pretty good, to where its firmly down. Foil it. Then poke big holes up through the bottom of the bowl, then poke more holes around those. According to the instructions, using the proper amount of heat, you should be fine. Tangiers burns hoter after it gets going. i'd buy a new phunnel

According to the instructions, using the proper amount of heat, you should be fine.i get awesome flavor and smoke from a light and fluffy bowl-pack of tangiers in a regular bowl. when i get back home, where my own hookah is, i'm going to try packing it down like everyone is talking about. bulldog, when you say to poke holes "up through the bottom" of the bowl, do you mean to have the toothpick go through the bottom holes of the bowl and protrude all the way through the foil on top? that's an awesome idea. i've gotta try that. i guess that gets better airflow so it doesn't clog, right? if i may add - one thing i do to better my airflow when i pack a non-phunnel bowl: after i foil it, and before i poke holes in it, i'll hold it up and lightly blow air into the bowl through the bottom, keeping the tobacco away from the bottom and making it just that much fluffier. then i poke my holes. Bulldog_916
Yea, try it. I generally dont pack mine fluffy unless its in a phunnel. Then it packs it self down when I foil it. But with a normal bowl, its difficult to pack it down without blocking the holes or having tobacco come through the holes and into the water. I'll perfect the technique and then make a video, probably.
