Any Hookah Lounge Owners In Here?

Recommended Posts

hey guys, i came accross this forum and started reading some of the posts on here and decided i had to join biggrin.gif . I am currently looking for a place to open up a hookah lounge in cali. I would really appriciate any advice from you guys since you have the same passion for hookah as i do. I'm sure there are hookah bar owners in here that could really give me advice on my start-up. I look forward to chatting w/ u all and learn more about hookah.

Open one in Sacramento, we have too few and the ones that are here are kinda crappy. 3 areas I would recommend are Elk Grove (big youthful population), Gold River (extra wealthy area), and Arden area (large mix of different people, population center).

ya, if you want to find some key information, use the search feature...I remember in the past 6months there being a lot of startup lounge people in, and there has been some killer advice in those threads.

And a few threads from the vendor who shall not be named on how NOT to run a hookah lounge - including what happens to you if you don't have your paperwork 100% in order with the government. Needless to say - the whole NHT stigma with hookah means that uneducated government types are going to be on you like flies on poo - so dot your Ts, cross your I's and for god's sake make sure you're 100% legit and not helping ruin the reputation further of our hobby.

Oh, and welcome. smile.gif

Yeah, sacramento is actually my #1 option at the moment. I was thinking around sac state even though there is cobblestone there. I wanted to have a more dark, kick back, and quiet theme alot different from cobblestones'. I'm not familiar with Gold river area but arden area seems like a good idea and i'll look further in elk grove. Thanks for the help guys.
