Right....

To 250g's on Nahkla I normally add around 38mls of glycarin and about 8mls of natural clear honey.

Mix the CRAP out of it and leave it to soak in for at least 24hrs.

Mix like hell again, and then smoke it. Works for me every time.

why would nakhla make it like that? is it designed to be smoked in some special, dry tobacco way?

well, nakhla was the first of the commercially availible shishas i think so they have been pretty much making it the same way since around 1986. It does tend to be damp rather than the wet stuff we are used to. It also takes a higher heat to smoke properly than any other tobacco I've seen. If you want wetter Nakhla try to find the jars instead of the boxes.

It's not really made to be smoked in any sort of special bowl or anything. Just a matter of finding the heat thats right for it.

Because it comes all the way from egypt, going through all those different temperatures and humidities, and it's probably not packed the best either. Then it comes here and people rather smoke Sb or Fantasia so most Nahkla sits on the shelves forever. Try to get it in the glass container. Much juicier. The Sheherazade line is wetter and more flavorful in my opinion, only much more complex flavors then the Standard Line.

so it's dry because it comes from far away? i doubt that. if it is true though, what's that say for their packaging? im pretty sure al fakher ain't comin' from the states either but it manages to stay nice and wet. i think they're just sticking to what worked all those yeas ago when they started making it. i truly respect that. i know a lot of people smoke nakhla so why fix what ain't broken?

Well we answered your question basically. It is dry, so you could add glycerin but most likely the flavor would be dampened. Molasses is MUCH too viscous and sweet to add to nahkla, i don;t see that coming out very well.

No, i mean almost dehydrated nahkla. Anyone who buys nahkla I;m sure has gotten the dust-dry batch once. smile.gif

well i couldnt find any glycerin so i used pure molasses and it turned out really awesome it gives the sweet melon and even sweeter taste and the caramel (which tasted like a beachball smells) actually tastes like caramel now and i use 1 TBSP of molasses and 1/2 TBSP of honey and im going to let them sit overnight and see if they taste even better tomorrow
