Ebay And Craigslist Hookah Finds

Recommended Posts

Also, that guy has a TON of other hookah shit. Found these two Nawras as well among his items for sale:

I'd pick up the 24" one if I could (if I had money and if my gf wouldn't throw it across the room when she saw it).

Wya to repost my post from elsewhere! :praising:

But yeah, those are definitely legit Nawras too. John knows this guys dad, so I can only assume that he might have gotten them from the same source.

umad?

Nah, I got the first one from the other forum, but the other two I searched his other items for since you guys said he had more than just that one. I do know what Nawras look like. ;)

Hahahaha.

EDIT: Oh, and for anyone that looks at that dude's other items, just because it says Nawras doesn't mean it is. He has a couple ones that I'm pretty damn sure are not Nawras. Only the two listed are for sure.

Ah-hah. So the one I ordered I'm finding out may very well not be a Nawras. Ah well, live and learn. Hope it's a good hookah.

Best I can do is an ebay link. Fairly sure it's a generic Syrian; couldn't find info on it anywhere.

No man, you got a legit Nawras. One of the nicest models, as a matter of fact. I'm jealous. Polish that baby up nice when you get it. I'll be shooting a vid later this week that will help you out. Be on the lookout for Brasso. I found mine at Wal-Mart. Many other people use Bar Keeper's Friend, but I'll be using Brasso in my video.

Damn, no kidding? I was worried I was gonna get a hookah made of lead with brass-colored foil on it, hah! Definitely a load of my mind. Just weird, there's no info on them anywhere. Is it an older model?

And you know, I kinda like the aged brass look... who knows, I'll probably polish it. Question: How does the leafing on these bases hold up to washing? I won't scrub it much, but it won't peel off right away, no?

Yes, an older model Nour/Nawras. I say Nour/Nawras because it's made by Al Nawras, but imported by Nour, so they often go under either name. You can tell the new and old ones apart by the hoseport and purge. The older ones have a longer/wider hoseport, and the purge is a little different, less pointy I think.

As for that vase, no clue.

I have no idea what that trigger is for unless it's a really weird purge valve or something....No way I am paying that much, that's insane... but... I am going to start going to Garage Sales Next Saturday. Something to keep my mind open about when I go to build something cool like that.

I love the spring loaded purge lever.
Actually, I think it might be how you pour the water in. I don't see anywhere else that opens up like that. But if thats what its for, it could feasibly used as a purge valve too.

The shank is NOT Mya as far as I've ever seen. And the base in Czech not the Mya Rommanian.
Yeah, didn't think it was. The boho is a Mya one from when they were still being made in the Czech Republic. All the new ones are now made in Romania, or so I heard. I could be wrong.
