  1. Strawberry was dissappointing to moi, but mint is a great mixer for anything. For a recommedation, it has to be Berry; the best AF smoke by far.
  2. I don't think any analog (component) can support 1080p, only via HDMI, which is what my 360 has. I must confess that I haven't the chance to have a 1080p and a 720p directly side by side, but the difference was never suppose to be mind blowing. No...I'm happy with my old, crappy, 720p 50" plasma. I think a 1080p, projector or otherwise, would be outside of Erica's price range of 2g. If the condition are optimal in where you plan to place the set, a 720p projector might not be such a bad idea.
  3. I've been here a short time but I think this forum is as well ran as any forum I've seen. I have no problem at all at the recent bans; instigators deserves to be banned, as are those that who starts making demands from a free site.
  4. I own a 50PX60U and it works great. The only issues that came up were the during the first ~500 hours of use. Baby it during that time (lowering the brightness/contrast) and most of the burn-in issues become non-issues later on. Never like any projection set and LCD are bit expensive. I've played plenty of games (360 and old PS2) on my plasma. I've watched plenty of Dvd's with the black bars on top and bottom. I've watched show with static logo (non-hd baseball, for example), and I've yet to see the tiniest of inklink of a burn-in. Burn in doesn't happen on current and future plasma sets unless abuse it. It is recommended not to set a static picture on your set for more an hour, and I've went for longer then that watching baseball. Baby it during the first 300-500 hours, following the instruction in your manual, and don't abuse it by leaving it on any static logo for more then 1-2 hours, and a Plasma will be your new best friend. p.s. Personally, I can't tell the difference on the xbx360 when it's running on 1080p set or my 720p set, but might be important if you're jumping on Hd-Dvd/Bluray early.
  5. Another happy owner here. Being it was my first hookah purchase, I think I came out on top. The original stem that came with my 36" wasn't quite airtight, but the replacement was perfect. Also the gromment on the replacement was tightly fitted on the vase, and required no further adjustments. And about the vase, oh, what a beauty. The stem is amazingly good looking. Even the trays were easy on the eyes. The drawbacks on this hookah has already been mentioned: the down stem. The bowl, while not bad, isn't good either. An overtly average bowl on an otherwise stunning combination. A Smiley bowl I got from HC quickly fixed that. Both the original stem and the replacement stem I received has a gray plastic diffuser added to the bottom of the stem. This diffuse does it's job of breaking up the smoke well enough but added nothing to the overall length. There is also a slight, very slight air leak at the blow out valve (not the bearing but outside the valve itself.) Not enough to affect anything, but I thought I should mention. It was really down to the wire when I first considered between the AF and the Stargate. But when I consider the aesthetics, I think the AF is the most beautiful hookah on the market. It looks like a supermodel, and smokes like one too. I've taken a point off for the stem lenght and the average bowl. 9/10
  6. Does it matter if he took steroids? MLB has condone it all these years, and fans don't care as long as he's on their team. Baseball records belongs to MLB and baseball fans. It is also their's to ruin. Asterisk or not, his record has been in the making a looong time; no point complaining about it now.
  7. From the interviews with the makers, Left4Dead has a AI "game director", which adjusts the pacing of the frantic zombie attacks so as not to be dull or overwhelming (i.e. the brain dead Serious Sam.) I really think that the mix of AI and human enemies would keep things interesting.
  8. Yep, just hope they don't delay again. So here's a question, which team would you want to try first? Humans or zommmbie.
  9. Episode 2, of course will be good, but when will it ever come out? Used to be die hard CS/DOD fan, and Left4Dead looks to play more like the Natural Selection thou, which is great. Def' the closest we'll get to a "28 Days Later" game, or a fast pace Resident Evil.
  10. QUOTE (chinamon @ Aug 1 2007, 01:58 PM) which brings be to another idea... how about a section in the review forum for lounge reviews? 2nd'ed
  11. I don't smoke flavored cigars much, and have hated every Drew Estate that I've tried. The last one I had made me gag. The two flavors that I do smoke, every now and again, are CAO Flavours Moontrance and Eileen's Dream. I had these long before I actually start buying cigars, and some of my non cigar smoking friend happen to like them also. My cigar de jour, at the moment, are the RP Missles and Vintage Series. CAO Black and Brazilia are also great cigars, but don't even bother touching any other CAO regular sticks with a 10 foot pole.
  12. I ordered the large 36" hookah + a few sampling of their tobacco, had a great expereience dealing with them. Talking to them on the phone, I got a great deal and a few recommendations on their tobacco selection. Even recommended me to try drinking tea with my smoking. The order was returned by FedEx because of a wrong address, but they were nice enough to drive it directly to my house (I live 30 min. away from their office.) I thought that was way cool of them. Great service, great hookah, tobacco, and just super customer support. I love their stuff, and I'll be sure to order from AFonline again when I run out. I noticed that the stem on my hookah wasn't quite airtight, called them up and got a replacement within a week. Thanks Sam!
  13. Coal might not be hot enough to melt AL, but what makes you think that AL foil is pure AL? I know for a fact that Reynolds wrap is compound metal. To tell the truth, I would be more concern for the thin plastic backing that is on every single inch of a foil.
