Plain Old Me Posted February 5, 2008 Share Posted February 5, 2008 Hey all, I just put in an order for Four Aces Wholesale last week and by today it had not been processed, so I gave them a call. I guess that because I do not have a buisness license and all, they have to add a bit of sales tax to the order and they needed to talk to me before they charged it and everything. Seemed like bad customer service that they didn't just call me or whatever, but after giving their 1-800 number a call today they straightened it all out. Plain Old Me Posted February 5, 2008 Author Share Posted February 5, 2008 Anyone can order, but unless you order under a business I think you will have to call them like I had to. The stuff is cheap, I had one other order a few months back where I did not have to give them a call or anything like I guess we do now. Stuff got here just fine, though I cannot say if their hookahs are decent as I ordered some tobacco and products other than hookahs. This time around I bought 2 hookahs, and I will post when they arrive. I saw that hookah posted above, but it is in the water pipe section I believe and I dunno about it- it said that it was a 4 bubbler pipe and I dunno if it would be any good as a hookah. I thought I'd try it out and get some Starbuzz at that price, but because of the way they calculate the weight for shipping, it usually comes out to about $10 a tin (meaning over $20 a tin for Starbuzz). I e-mailed to see if they would be willing to charge an actual shipping cost instead of using their estimator, and as I expected I never heard back from them. But if you live in Canada or out of the US shipping may be pretty bad. I want to say sales tax was about 8%, maybe a tad less. In any case, it was about the same as any other site I have bought from. Wholesale companies don't want to talk to people who are only intrested in one item when they can use that same time to talk to someone who are interested in buying 50 to 100. You're at the bottom of the totem pole without a business liscence. You can however see if they drop ship, and get the wholesale price for 1 item + the shipping and handeling. However, if you throw in the business lisence fee, or tax ID number, then you're looking at a pretty expensive hookah. They even state they won't sale for personal use and recommend H-S for customers browsing for personal use.
