So Guys... I Need Your Help...

Recommended Posts

Okay... I have two myas, and recently picked up an Oasis hookah from socialsmoke.com and everytime I try to smoke... I never get that pure hookah taste... It ALWAYS tastes burnt! I do not know what it is, I was thinking it was my Mya at first, but then I got the Oasis and I have the same result. I know people bring up this question everyday but no matter what I do, I still get the same "smoke" taste with very little bit of flavor! My hookahs are basically new, and I am using a Mya Washable hose. I am using an egyptian bowl from social smoke, and I use three kings quick lights. I pack the tobbacco so it doesnt not touch the foil, and I break the coal in half. No matter what I do, same result. I have tried countless of different hole patterns but nothing seems to work... What could it possibly be? Whenever I go to my friends house, he cleans his hookah out like once a month and keeps the same water in the hookah for days. Yet, when he sets up his hookah, the taste is amazing and it has the best smoke I have ever seen from a hookah. I have tried fumari, and starbuzz. These are the only two flavors I use, because imo they are the best flavors. But if I take the flavors to my friends house and try it in his hookah, it tastes so good. But whenever I try the same thing with any of my three hookahs, it tastes like shit... What gives? Any help would be appreciated.

You might have too many coals on the bowl. try starting with one and let the coal sit on the bowl for about a minute or two, then if you don't get enough smoke then put on two. see how that goes...if you get the same problem with a lot of smoke but no taste move down to 1 1/2 coals. or try this with the two coals have it sit like this on the bowl.....

so one of the coals is sitting directly flat and the other one is sitting tilted. and put the coals on the outside of the bowl not directly in the middle of the bowl.

It is probably a mix of how you pack your bowl, punch your holes, and how much coal you're using.

It's been pretty much agreed upon that if some shisha is touching the foil its not the end of the world. Don't put too little shisha in your bowl to compensate for it to not touch the foil. Also depening on the type of bowl you have depends on whether or not you should break up the coals. On the original bowl that came with my Mya QT, if i break a 3 Kings in half and put 2 halves on, it will usually burn up the shisha extremely fast as opposed to leaving it intact. If you have a wide shallow bowl, i would suggest breaking up the coal and using 2-3 halves. Start from there.

A good way to check and make sure you have airflow in the bowl is by blowing into the bottom of the bowl after you have poked your holes. Hold the foil on and make sure if you blow into the bowl there is clear passage for the air to pass through.
