A friend is bringing me some so I'll let you all know monday. Just for the hell of it my friend had some Nahkla strawberry and we decided to smoke it... GAH! Never had such a tempermental smoke session in my life. I put two coals on and burned it. I just smoked a bowl of Nakhla Sweet Melon yesterday afternoon and even though it was more than 6 months old it still tasted great. Just like fresh rip cantalope! I really don't know whats been going on with me but I have just been craving the Nakhla the past week or so. Infact, aside from 1 bowl of Al-Quemah Strawberry, Nakhla is all I have smoked the past week. Strawberry, Apple, Double Apple, Cherry, Mint, and Sweet Melon. I myself have a hard time believing I have been smoking Nakhla over some of the other brands I have on hand (Al-Fakher, Al-Fakher GS, Romman, Al-Amir, etc.) but for some reason it has really been satisfying me lately. It must be somthing about the thickness of the smoke, strong buzz, and strange yet well crafted versions of flavors. I've heard all the hype-premium this , premium that. I'm just not getting premium satisfaction. The premiums have some great flavors but none really grab me like the Nakhla standards like apple, strawberry, melon, and XX Apple. Mushrat, don't feel like you need to defend or justify anything. I started out with Nakhla (strawberry was my first), tried different brands (the Fakher trio, Romman, AL Waha, Sultan, Splash, Al Amir, Hookah Hookah, Habibi, Al Amasi, plus a few you can only get over-seas) and always try to maintain a solid smoking stock of Nakhla flavors. It is my everyday, go-to smoke. SO far these are the brands and flavors I would want to smoke more of that aren't Nakhla: Fakher trio: Arc Sous, cappucino Al Waha: 5 Star Mix, Double Apple Al Amir: Grape Hookah Hookah: Margarita, Hazelnut Habibi: Mixed Fruit, would really love to sample Tobbsman's apple. The rest of the flavors would go to Nakhla. Even the ones listed above by other brands. However, I refuse to smoke Nakhla's mixed fruit (Toxic cocktail) again. I'm now open for flaming. Picked up a 50g of cherry and mango (mango? mango....I'll try anything once..twice if it hurts) today at a smoker friendly of all places..more on that in seperate post. Theres only two Nakhla flavors I will refuse to smoke, and those are Mixed Fruit and Apricot. Truely disgusting stuff those are, but theres still some flavors I need to try from them. I ahve a buddy bringing grape saturday which i will fire up as I smoke the 2 turkeys we are having sunday night...(i either need a damn big bowl or some HUGE papers) I'll try to ppost a professional looking review monday on the grape...
