EliteHookah.com
Hey everybody,I just wanted to let you know, due to popular request we have added an economical USPS shipping option to our website. We still have our flat rate UPS shipping option, but now we also offer standard parcel post, priority mail, and overnight USPS shipping. All of these rates are calculated based on your location and the weight of the shipping package. This way you know you are getting an accurate shipping rate, and the lowest we can offer.I hope this helps.-Brad

mushrat
Nicely done...though a friendly warning, knowing how PATIENT everyone is around here when it comes to deliveries..Parcel Post CAN, and I say CAN, take 3 weeks according to the post office. It's got about the lowest priority for a package on the transport.Personal experience speaking here...
Sonthert
The postal service actually transports them by turtle convoy.I had an interesting experience. I have, on many occasions, gone down to a post office on the other side of town where my landlord's PO box is, handed it to the clerk indicated it was for a local PO box and they said they would hand cancel it and take it over there directly....40 feet away. Today, I was "helped" by some burnt out looking stonerish 70s dude I'd seen before working there. On his window area he had numerous fishing pictures of when he wasn't working (which obviously was more important than working, to him). I gave him another pile of mail and he threw it in the same pile, together, and I said "Those tow are for 92169, could you just take them over there?" "No, I can't""Why not?""They don't want us to hand cancel things and deliver them.""They have for me here before.""Who did?""I'm not sure, my memory's getting vague.", I said, "Why is that a problem?""No, they charge $14.40 for an overnight delivery.""Oh, well, its no big deal, man, its the rules, I understand.""They don't want us hand canceling things anymore.", he said, "They want us to charge $0.95 to hand cancel something.""So if I gave you $0.95, would you hand cancel it and take it over (the last 40 feet!)?""No, I, can't.""Ah, well, no big deal, I won't hold it against you."The clerk starts chuckling and I kind of follow along in a like chortling manner. He then says "Yeah, well you can have somebody else do it.""Yeah, man, its no big deal", I said (I had just waited in line for twenty minutes)"Your total is xxxx" he says, chuckling louder.I give him the money, and walk away and he absolutely starts howling in laughter. What assholes. Its too much trouble. Fire the whole governement, I say. At least half the post office.

chinamon
i used to ship a lot of packages within canada but mostly to the USA when i used to run a satellite website with about 15-20 packages per day. i always shipped canada post xpresspost (equivalent to USPS Priority) and the packages reached the customer within 3-5 business day as promised almost all the time. there have been occasions when it only took two days for the package to reach california from toronto.using the postal service isnt that bad as long as you ship with a tracking number (expedited or xpresspost). sending regular parcel would mean you're better off hopping on a plane and hand delivering it.
