Being new to shisha, I've only tried three flavors, Strawberry, Flower, and Mango. The strawberry was Naklah, I'm not sure what the other two were, since I had them at a resturant. I liked the Nakala, but I've heard it's not the best. What would you suggest for a good balance of flavor and "buzz"?Also, how are bannana and cola? Those two sounded particularly good to me.

i think the "flower" you had was actually rose. And as far as buzz goes nahkla is right up there, it just lacks in some flavors, but its not AS bad people make it out to be really, however if you want so higer quality stuff that still has nicotine you should check out Tangiers. Also consider layalina and al waha, though some would debate how much better those two are versus nahkla. From my experience banana usually tastes like banana bread, and cola is very dependant on the brand, nahkla cola from what i remember isnt the greatest, everyone seems to like Al Fahker Cola, but thats low nicotine content, so its a trade, al waha probably isnt a bad compromise though

Tangiers is high quality stuff its not for beginners tho you have 2 have your technique down. this stuff is a lot stronger than your normal nahkla/al waha stuff but is ohh so good!

unwashed means its had non of the nicotine removed and normally has 0.3 - 0.6% nicotine.washed has had some nicotine removed and normally has 0.03 - 0.06% nicotine. In case you didn't guess, the buzz is mainly caused by nicotine (and oxygen deprivation)
I'm guessing that the "unwashed" means the nicotine has not been removed, as opposed to the "washed" brands?  Very helpful, skiracer.
Exactly right. Some unwashed brand: Al Waha, Nakhla, Romman, Tangiers, Layalina?? (maybe)washed brands: Al Fakher, Havana, Al Amir

Al Waha Cola is my favorite shsisha period. As for the brands, you might want to try either Al Waha or Layalina. After you get into more and get good with your technique, then go for some Tangiers
