I don't really have much to say (yet) but since I'm supposed to post, I guess I may as well take the opportunity to wish everyone a happy and prosperous New Year. I've been smoking shisha infrequently since 1999, and more frequently since 2007, when a close friend bought me a pipe of my own. It's a 28" Egyptian model, not a bad pipe by any means, but it uses some relatively cheap and nasty components that I plan to replace as time and money allow. I get the impression that it would benefit from a wider, washable hose, a Vortex-type bowl and a bigger ash tray. I'm using Nakhla tobaccos, and the flavour of the month is definitely Mandarin.... subtle, but very nice indeed. I'm thinking about playing with Mola-Mix, Molazzle (or some other similar glycerine + molasses additive) to turn the Nakhla into a wetter, smokier tobacco more like Mizo or AF.
