All you need is the poker on a pair of tongs (to start holes), a grommet, scissors (to cut them), and a twisty tab! It's pretty much self explanatory, just when you're done poking holes evenly around the grommet, poke two at the bottom to tie the twisty tab. Ideally, i would try to have smaller holes on my diffuser but the rubber grommets make it difficult to do this. It works though.
