mattarios2
it was only from the top of the down pipe (where it screws into the stem) right up to where it bends in and makes the shape of the inside of the pipe. (prob like 1/8 of an inch) I used some metal cleaner and it came off, but it def wasn't hookah juices or anything.Could this be from not completely drying out the down stem and water prob dripping to one end of the down stem? I was lucky that it was only light and was able to clean it. From now on I will use a wooden stick with a paper towel wrapped around it or something to make sure everything is completely dry.And secondly, when i was scrubbing out the down stem (mya down stem) a little piece of glue prob 2 inches long decided to come out. Do they use these pieces of glue to reinforce the part where the tube gets welded? My first mya down stem i was sent didn't have this piece in it. Any thoughts? Thanks

gaia.plateau
Apparently that's some sort of sealing-bonding-thing... I had the same problem, thought it was rust, but yeah. Apparently no worries.Unless it's doodie.

The 1st issue was the brown substance on the inside of the down stem right before it bends down to make the inside shape of the tube. And the second issue was the glue stick which you cleared up for me.Do you think the 1st issue was in fact rust? Someone was asking about this a month or so ago, and it was cleared up. In any case, I experienced this problem months ago and have had no worries since then. What I am talking about is right at the top of the down stem. Where it is thicker than the rest of the tube and has the threading. Inside there, right at that part it was all brown and i scrubbed it and now it is silver.

Ah I wish you knew what I was saying. Say you are looking inside the tube from the side with the threads. Right where the inside of the tube starts, there was a brown powdery substance. Only around the area inside the tube up until the threads end. Or if you're
