jfaltous
I suppose the topic title says it all. I have 2 hookahs that I've owned for a while and used leisurely, but the guys I bought them from (locally) always made such a huge deal about how I should never remove the ball bearing holders for any reason... and naturally I listened to them. However now that I know a bit more about what I'm doing I noticed that the valve wasn't functioning, so I went and looked and found that the ball bearings had rusted into place (likely from when I've cleaned them in the past).Does anyone have any suggestions of how to get them out, or what products to use to clean off the rust? PhishPhood
I dont think I would use WD40 on something I'm gonna smoke out of... Maybe some sort of cooking oil would loosen it up a bit?

NoPeace
Yo I had the same problem and it ended up fucking the pressure in my hookah for a while which is why I figured out I had that problem. What I did was I took a chisel and a hammer and went at the side of the ball bearing and got it out. If that doesn't work then take the little sticking out thing that its stuck in and unscrew that and push it out the back with a wire from a coat hanger
jfaltous
Thanks for the help everyone, heating it up and then using a chisel worked quite well. I really appreciate the quick & useful responses
RayVer
when you figure how to get it out make sure you replace the ball bearing. some online vendors like H-S sell them.
