Hookah Lounge Being Pesky?

Recommended Posts

I live in santa cruz california, and a new hookah lounge opened up almost 6 months ago, they are the third one in town. anyways my friend works there so he hooks it up for me and i smoke for free or half off. the place is not well fernished, the staff sucks, and the music blows. i would never go there if i had to pay full price. there are two other lounges in town that i am friends with on myspace, they have better atmospheres, better hookahs, better service, they are just better lounges. anyways the owner is sending me things like delete the other lounges and be loyal to me and shit like that. im never going back there just because he is bothering me unessessarly with is almost to the point to harassment.

so if your in Santa Cruz, do not, I repeat Do not go to NOMAD hookah lounge, to to giza or madanis. smile.gif

Another good Hookah bar is The Spot. If you're ever in Encino, CA...I recommend going there biggrin.gif Its the first hookah bar that I've gone to and it was a really cool experience

The people who work there are awesome and the hookah and the food is great too. Plus, I think on weekends its open hella late (maybe its open that late on weekdays too..I'm not sure). I was there at like 2:00AM the first time I went :]

i know, im thinkin about opening my own lounge some day, with all the negative experience i have had, i would have the best lounge around.

I have to credit the forum with my sucess so far. Most of you don't remember my asking all sorts of dumb questions a while back about "what would you prefer to drink" "how much would you pay for these brands" "what kind of shisha and what flavour" questions. Which you all happily answered. That plus reading reviews of lounges and seeing what folks here liked and disliked about their local lounges helped me tremendously when it came to opening hookah bliss.

I can honestly say I couldn't have done it without the support and input of the forum.

Remember, what we have here is a true cross section of the hookah smoking community. Listen and learn. wink.gif

Nice... well.. this is the nomad hookah lounge protecting our ground. we opened 2 months ago 1st of all. and we are the 2nd lounge to open. and the owner legalized lounges in the city. i used to be an employee at the place and the owner is a 20 year old male who has worked his ass off to get to where he is now. nomad has an amazing and welcoming staff (i had too much school work to continue working there) but i go in there often with my friends and love it. an honest opinion on Giza and madanis and Nomad. Nomad 1st. Fun, hang out with friends, downtown next to Saturn Cafe and close to all the bars and the bus, the busiest of the 3 and has amazing hookah. Giza. I love it also, it is very quiet and more of a date scene. hookahs are nice, light up hookahs and an excellent staff as well. 3rd is madanis. now them i cannot back up. everything about the place is horrible. except the expensive tvs! the staff looks like they just got out of jail. the service is horrible. horrrrible. expensive as sin. costs money to refill coals. really bad location on the dead end of downtown. ran by pot dealers.....

between the nomad and giza it is a toss up. you either go out with friends and have more of a party and fun atmosphere or go to giza where it is very comfortable and relaxed and enjoy a quiet and soothing night out!

I second that. The Spot is amazing! I haven't been there in months though but I might try to go sometime next week now!
