Recommended Posts

i have used golden charcoals ever since i started smokeing hookah, but, about 10 months ago or so i saw that hookah-shisha started carrying a 66% larger coal. Has anyone tried these out and are they good?

Yes, they are just 44mm instead of 33 (i think). They are just larger and last longer. I split them in half. I stick with 33mm cause they are cheaper though, but in the grand scheme of things, if you slpit 44mm in half, that's double the amount of coals. And i split them in half everytime.

Just got them from H-S two weeks ago. They smoke fine and are harder to break and crumble unlike 3 Kings. When it lights up, the sparks are much less compared to the other quick lights. Only downside is the smell when you first light it up but it's not too much of a big deal. Seems better than 3K so far but I'm not too sure as I haven't had too many sessions with these coals.

I have to use those for the sessions at the shop, and I've gotta be honest, I like the 3Ks better. I believe there was a poll about it that might be worthwhile to ressurect.

hey, i got the new large coals and i love them. Just make sure when using them that you put the coal around the outside of the bowl, not directly on the middle

i have a few rolls of them, i never used them until i ran out of my 33mm coals, but the larger ones turned out to be pretty good, instead of using 2 coals, i'd just break one in half and put both halves towards opposite edges of the bowl and rotate, and they worked perfectly

I have a question about the coal ashing. How do you keep the ash from falling into the bowl? I mean when i smoke i usually forget to move the coals around and when i try to take off the ash in the ash tray nothing comes off sad.gif. After every coal ashes and dies out do you stop smoking or replace the foil and coal?

first time i used them it made EVERYTHING harsh, but the shishas i have that require extra heat like king moasell it did beautifuly on those, you dont need that big large heater for some al waha. good coals, if you need the extra heat..
