If you're pulling in air from the center of the bowl right down the center of the phunnel, where/how is the smoke being generated?
The radiant heat is enough to heat the tobacco itself. It isn't necessary for it to be exposed to a flame
Not necessarily.... If you can find a brand of good hard wood coals they're far more than usable. It mostly depends on if the charcoal itself is treated with any harmful chemicals. I used a big bag of hard wood coals I got for like $9 and it was 20lb of coal. If you can deal with the hassle of lighting them, they work excellently and burn extremely hot!
 3. I use starlight coconut coals, but that's mainly because I found a place in houston where I can buy a 70 piece box for $3.50.....

Used to be able to find it most anywhere in Houston, but it's disappeared for some reason as of late. i like the mint flavor the best.
A big HELL YES for doogh/ayran/shineena/whatever you call it I prefer the homemade persian doogh, that's left out a few days to naturally carbonate slightly. Commercial doogh's bubbles are too harsh. Also, the ayran in Turkey is out of this world, it's the creamiest stuff ever...
Yeah, that's one of my fav things about going to Iran, always have a fresh pitcher of Dough in the fridge

Sorry bud, hope it goes soon it's a good deal even just for the base. Good Luck!
Dibs! I'll take it, just pm me details on shipping/payment etc.
 8.
Smoked a Macanudo today. It was pretty terrible. I fetched a black n mild out of the tackle box because i wanted a cigar lol.
Been smoking mostly JFR and La Aroma De Cuba's lately.
 9. Each person reacts to different food groups differently. I have always heard to stay away from heavy foods within 5 hours of sleeping though... I definitely can't go 5 hours w/o eating something though lol.
 10.
Has anyone had Hair of the Dog's Adam before? I heard some good things about it and that it ages very well, so I grabbed 2 bottles the other day. I'm not sure when I'll try the first, but I'm planning on aging the other for as long as I possibly can. It was a little pricey, I think $4.99 for a 12oz. Also, just saw New Belgium has released an IPA (Ranger IPA), I think I'm going to have to pick some up when I see it.
Had some of the Ranger on draft here at the Houston Saucer (supposedly the only bar with it on draft in the country, at the time) and I have to say I really enjoyed it! Not too heavy on the hops, but very drinkable and tasty. A much needed break from the 80+ IBU ipa's I usually drink. All in all, a nice beer from New Belgium.

Thinking we get neither here in Tx.... but then again there are LOTS of beers we don't get
Well i'de switch cities with you if I could....I've partied in Austin Texas and enjoyed $1 drinks....amazing.
Yeah, Tx is full of $1 beer special bars which are great on those nights where you wanna just go crazy. More often than not, I'd rather pay a bit more for a bigger selection of beers I've never had before though.

 13.
Just found a Sam Adams Cherry Wheat in the fridge today someone got. After having it, I'm pretty sure I'll never have one again. It was good to try for the sake of having tried it. If I had created this beer I would have definitely gone with a more realistic cherry taste that is not as overpowering and as sweet as the maraschino taste this beer had. It could have been delicious with a hint of Rainier cherry or something, but alas.
Tastes like Tussin to me. Gross
