  1. Pretty amazing thread, I read all 14 pages worth today. I'm pretty glad that I fall into the "haven't had problems ever" category. Also glad to find out this may be due to my lackadaisical approach to acclimation (dump shisha in a gladware tub, let it sit for a while before smoking). One further note. I recall a great number of people having "ketchup" issues with AF Grape that continued for over a year -- including me. I never saw any response in any forum or email from an Al Fakher official at any level, let alone the President of the company. I think this thread qualifies as a stupendous customer service effort from Tangiers. Well done. I think I'll toast it with a large bowl of White Grape
  2. QUOTE (vqturbo @ Aug 15 2009, 10:40 AM) I just use fumari hole puncher.. It like a mini ice pick... +1 works great
  3. The other day I noticed that my AF Syrian was smoking very loosely. Upon closer inspection I noticed that the downstem had a long split, approximately 75% down its length (see below). Has anyone ever had this happen before? Am I screwed, or can this be repaired?
  4. I've had good luck mixing Sour with Juicy Peach and also Passion Fruit. I keeps some around all the time
  5. QUOTE (evilded777 @ Apr 17 2009, 04:33 PM) Gonna go against the grain here, and vote against the common wisdom of packing a phunnel "to the brim". +1 Speaking as a daily Tangiers smoker, this method works for me too. I grab pinches of the shisha and place it in the phunnel all around, then I press down slightly with my thumb. No forks or other eating utensils involved. I use a double layer of HD and poke two rings of deep holes. 3 coconaras with a windcover to start, remove the windcover after 5-10 minutes. Smoking Bliss
  6. QUOTE (Jeff_T @ Apr 16 2009, 06:16 PM) I buy my tangiers from hookah-shisha usually because the 3 pack + coals is a good deal and they have a big selection too. Last time I placed an order was probably 4 months ago, so not sure about prices now. I've never had problems with them or the shipping, although I know some members do not like HS. +1 Plus single price regardless if it's Nour, F-Line, or Lucid. They take discount codes and they have their own frequent buyer points.
