1. My first session was at a hookah local hookah lounge. Some friends took me there not long after mt 18th b-day; the buzz was heavy, the smoke was smooth. Not long after I bought a cheap hookah from a headshop and went from there.
2. I had several which I have sold in favor of having only my KM Tri-Metal. I have had that pipe for several years and have no intention to acquire additional pipes.
3. Just finished polishing and oiling my hookah and figured it was a prime photo opportunity. In the past year I have sold off my hookahs aside from my favorite which is now the only one I use. My Khalil Mamoon Tri-Metal.
4. Nicotine is a stimulant. As a stimulant it can cause sweating, just as caffeine can.
5. The PACT Act, "A bill to prevent tobacco smuggling, to ensure the collection of all tobacco taxes, and for other purposes." http://www.govtrack....?bill=s111-1147 All that is left is for the president to sign it in to law, which will inevitably happen. I know several online retailers who sell tobacco products and are going to be closing up shop due to this bill which will make it basically impossible to order tobacco products online and have it shipped (except of course cigars, can't stop the politicians from acquiring their cigars. ) My question is how will this be effecting shisha (if at all)?
6. Indeed, nicotine is a laxative of sorts.
7. I primarily smoke Tangiers, Al Fakher, and Nahkla.
8. After I polish my tri-metal, I usually wipe the brass and copper down with a coat of olive oil which helps to prevent any serious oxidation.
9. I have several hoses, my Khalil Mamoon hoses are among my top performing. They have a nice open draw and in my experience are quite durable (I have been using one in particular for 2 years now on a regular basis). In addition they have nice long handles which are comfortable to hold. Keep it, use it, and in this way determine if it suits you.
10. I prefer to always use fresh water. I feel that it helps the flavors come through without becoming muddled with other flavors contributed by the water.
11. 3 years. As far as smoking, I partake of hookah and pipe tobacco. My health has not been affected from my perspective in any negative way. The nicotine does help contribute to a state of relaxation however, which is a good thing.
12.
well some of it was that back in the day, when a new company sparked up, they came here looking for guinea pigs...last time this happened was hookahups back in spring of '08, haven't seen it since sometimes vendors give a lil sample of some random shisha or members send each other samples I miss trying new stuff that isnt on the market... ...more so I miss hookahups, I think I liked that stuff more than Tangiers, and Tangiers is all I smoke
What ever happened to hoohahups? I received a few samples from them and it was delicious...
13.
I've tried several dozen brands and types, I like some of it. It needs lots of improvement, something I'm thinking about putting my hand to. Tangiers snuff is in development. I've tried several mentholated types, but only one didn't give me a wretchedly stuffy nose after the menthol wore off. Hedges was the worst. Its supposedly used by coal miners to keep their noses open...after doing Hedges, I can see why. You need it to keep your nose open after using it.
Indeed, coal miners used snuff because of the tendency to increase nasal discharge which helped capture dust before entering the lungs. I find that after the effect wear off it is best to blow ones nose, thus I have never experience the stuffed nose problem you describe.
