I gotta go visit him sometime soon too now that I'm back in OC for good. I was just down in Escondido yesterday with family, but didn't have the time to look him up, and he was probably closed for the holiday anyways.

member names can be changed in the admin control panel. not sure what caused certain members accounts to go haywire. sounds like someone did some things in the control panel but i have no clue. doesn't seem like the kind of thing that would just happen.

All I know is explanation and apologies are in order when something goes so ridiculously awry that one of the most respected men in the community says goodbye. Moobs, who are you? You joined yesterday and all of the sudden are in the middle of this and saying stuff like "if you were here at the beginning, you'd know." Either you're saying things you know nothing about or you're an admin/mod/member hiding behind another account.

People are going to continue to ask until there's some official thread put up explaining things. Also, without some kind of public closure to the debacle, the same thing can keep happening over and over.

Yeah, I got a different batch of X on the Beach. It's not super bad, but not what I was expecting. The taste and color are different from what I'd used earlier.

Yeah, I like the HS Goldens the most out of any quick-light. I haven't used the HC Golden Japs, but I use the Chinese version and they're great. I'm gonna try smoking in the hot tub one of these days. It sounds great.

that hose you posted a picture of is the one that rusted on you? that looks just like the mya washable hose i got recently (but in green) but it hasn't rusted and i rinse + dry it before every use.

I'm pretty sure its just the newcomers using the drug references. The regulars know what the rules are and not to break them. They care enough about the hookah's image to not associate it with illegal substances. We just need to keep removing any and all drug references. If I search for "joint" or any other substance term, nothing should come up. I just report them on the spot and sure enough a mod will come in to take care of it, usually within 2 minutes.

Smiley is the MAN and I fully support him and everything he's doing. He made his own stuff and put it out there for us to enjoy, is taking our input and improving his stuff, inventing new stuff, and helping the hookah community in general. I want to do just what he is doing.

Yeah, I've checked out the costs and calculated how many I'd need to sell to break even. I forget what the numbers were, but it wouldn't take long to pay for itself and start making lots of money. Where I'm at, there isn't a 7Eleven for 60 miles, and there are 2 colleges within 8 miles, so lots of business. As for maintenance, I was friends with the owner of my 7Eleven in OC and he showed me how to work/fix them. Also, slushy is different from slurpee. I wouldn't want a slushy/icee machine.

I'd drink Rockstar Juice and Thai Iced Tea (oh yeah). When I open up my own hookah lounge, I'm going to have this, but since you aren't close to where I'll be, I'll let you in on this huge money maker. Slurpees. Slurpee + Hookah = uber combo.

i love pickled ginger, and was just talking last night about wanting to smoke it after eating some with my sushi.
