  1. Yer, it's a shame they dont make them with phunnels. I find getting the foil all neat, tidy and evenly holed is even more tedious with a phunnel. Maybe a metal screen that just had holes punched round the outside, with the center solid so air had to come in over the shisha, and not just go straight down the middle. I'm certain this has been discussed before but how many people use metal screen vs foil?
  2. Hello. I've taken a liking to using a metal screen instead of tinfoil lately. It requires a little bit more coal but it makes the setting up process a whole lot quick easier, less tedious and less fiddly. However, i only have a screen for my normal small ceramic bowl. It it possible to get these screens for phunnel bowls? Thanks in advanced:)
  3. It depends, If i'm smoking on my own, or just me and my girlfriend, than i use 1 hose with normal ceramic bowl. Anything more than that then i tend to whack out another hose and a sizeable funnel bowl.

If the desired result is a painted effect, the opaque colors offer solid color that light does not pass through. Acrylic paint lines such as Liquitex Glossies and Delta PermEnamel offer opaque colors. Delta Glass paints and Pebeo Vitrail paints are transparent[/quote] Grab a brush and paint away. Take pics too:)
  5. I'm currently going into my final year of a Computing Science degree. I've also established a web hosting and design business. (see signature) I'd love to work for myself with computers helping people do internet related stuff. However, I love education and being taught - I'm looking starting a Masters of PhD in computing science next year maybe.
  6. I like mint because it's a cool minty sensation. I can imagine that would be helpful if your have a sore or scratchy throat=] Let us know how it goes.
  7. QUOTE (gower @ Feb 24 2007, 09:31 AM) a solid bowl of mint? damn... i guess with mint you either love it or hate it... i like it... but i have to mix it with something... like lemon or something thats pretty good i **LOVE** mint, it is my favourite of all time. i love the way its not a totally minty taste, its a minty sensation. it's like party in my mouth....with lots of mints.
  8. fancy givin more details? how are you doing it at the moment? are you using tinfoil or a screen on top of your shisha? also, is it an auto seal system with the other 2 hoses? We'll get it going, don't worry!!!
  9. Good luck! Somebody did a thread a long time ago about hookah smoking habbits, n how often peolp smoke. some people were smoking like more than 5 borls a day every day!
  10. thought you were mushrat then with that picture! But anyway: try a bit of water round the seal or a damp paper towel.
  11. QUOTE An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Nobody said you can't smoke it. all well and true.....i thought this was a shisha smoking forum, not apple smoking forum:S lol
  12. somebody tried this before, i think it was Tangiers, it didn't work but we never found out why:( goood luck!!
  13. QUOTE oh well, It's better than cigarettes... Don't mean to start a debate, but any evidence to support that claim? I rarely smoke on my own, i don't own my own hookah, so if i ever smoke, it's always at a shisha bar or at friends.
  14. "smoking better" is just a personal preference. some people might thing thick hard to pull but not too flavourful smoke is better than thin, easy to pull tasty smoke. it's all preference. But yeah, apparently MYA's do have a tighter pull. i think the taste of smoke it probably more down to other factors like the shisha itself and possibly coals, rather than the hookah.
  15. lol way to lower the tone of the convo. but yeah on a serious note, inclination is just a different way of saying craving! I think it might just be a phase, when i first started, i used to smoke loads, n then it sort of eased off. occaissionally i'll go through phases of a few weeks where i smoke loads, then go a few weeks without smoking at all.
