But the smoke im getting isn't dense.. I tried foil and the charcoal holder, i also placed coal in the center and on the side. Anyone got any tips? Thanks! NERV Posted February 28, 2005 Share Posted February 28, 2005 i tightly run my finger around the side of the bowl until all the foil is tight and i put pressure aorund the top to seal it more, personally i only use 13 holes thuswise: . . . . . . . . . . . . . but most ppl seem to use about 20 holes, also my holes are probly a little bigger, i use a sharpened wire coat hanger instead of a needle Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Their shaped like those finger coals u guys talk about and ive seen online. I light em wit a stove, theyre not too bad no charcoal taste whatsoever. At the moment, all i have is nakhla melon and a 250 gram box of nakhla cherry i bought yesterday. Ya i know it sucks the local shop i went to only carries nakhla and i think i saw el basha, thats about it. my bowl is pretty shalow so i dont pack too much of the stuff, and 1 out of yhr 4 holes in it is clogged lol i dont know how the hell that happened. Like i said my nergileh is pretty old. It does look nice tho ill try to post pics of it later on. ya i know its pretty sad but i try lol. plus the bowl is kinda broken. some places on the edges are chipped off so its hard to make the foil tight and even.
