Guest Namenone Posted January 1, 2007 Share Posted January 1, 2007 Me and my brother are having a debate as to where the smoke comes frommy brother says that if you put just coal on top with no flavor you would still get smokei disagree because ive heard that the tobacco has glycerin which is the main chemical which helps produce smoke, care to shed some light? Think about when you light the coal- it only smokes a little bit initially (if it's a quicklight). If you blow on it after that, there isn't any smoke to speak of. ZAP Posted January 1, 2007 Share Posted January 1, 2007 It is completely from the shisha. If you place a coal with no tobacco in the bowl you will not get any smoke. If you do then it will probably be the residue of previous sessions. Sonthert Posted January 7, 2007 Share Posted January 7, 2007 Yeah, charcoal are used because they are smokeless. The sheesha produces all the smoke, which is really just vaporized glycerine.
