Tangiers and Starbuzz.

Ok, so I bought 3 jars from both tangiers and starbuzz. they seem well liked on the forums.

So far, I've mostly smoked fumari, followed by layalina and honey from alwaha.. and a couple mistakes with sultan.

I'm excited to experience what everyone else raves about.

I got raspberry from both companies, I use raspberry to judge flavors of all brands.

then I got
kashmire peach and guava from tangiers

and

x on the beach and irish cream from starbuzz.

I hope they come soon, though I haven't been contacted by social smoke yet.

Btw. with people saying how difficult it is to smoke Tangiers. I thought I would try a few tricks to manage heat. I did a double foil. this seems to cut the heat back in other attempts, however, the smoke is very light. But, I got a nice buzz. I am using one coal, split in half and as it starts to die down I start a new coal and repeat, moving the smaller old coals together and rotating them every few minutes.

Any comments on the flavors?

should have gotten guava and marlette from starbuzz, best damn flavours on gods green earth. Havent had the rasberry, but ive smelled x on the beach, havent tried it yet though, working on it ;-)

Kashmire Peach is a good smoke... but I personally didn't like the flavor... it was very spiced peach meets incense... But like I said, even though the flavor wasn't the best, I still enjoyed smoking it if that says anything

SB raspberry is Eh.. has a weird taste to it..

Irish cream is delicious...

x on the beach.. is also Eh... taste almost like mixed fruit.

I am starting to have concerns about tangiers and its smoke ability. we'll see if its better than fumari or not soon, hopefully tomorrow. Depends on how fast Hookah Company is.

Starbuzz blackberry FTW. I LOVE THE STUFF. Tangiers cocoa is good, with lots of flavor. It seems that it takes some patience to get Tangiers working properly. Also, for about the first 5 Tangiers sessions that I smoked, the smoke scratched my throat; got use to it after that. Hope you enjoy your Starbuzz and Tangiers.

yeah expect tangiers to seem kinda awful the first few sessions, granted the flavor will be there and will be awesome, just the smoke will be kinda unbearable but after a few bowls of experimenting with technique and getting used to the sheer girth of the smoke and you'll be lovin it, just dont give up after two or three bad bowls.

I always make fun of a company who phonnetically spells thier company oops. But wow is thier ground service better than Fed ex.

I just called to track my packages that were ordered early thursday and shipped friday. they wont be delivered till tuesday. 5 days? seriously there were shipped out of San Diego Ca, to Fresno, Ca. It's a 6 hour drive. 7-8 in a semi. Those drivers drive 10 hrs. a day. How the hell does that work. It should take 3 days max to cross halfway accross a state. I'm gonna have to really check those online companys using Fed ex and not use them.

As a comparison. I bought stuff through a company who uses UPS. I bought it at 11pm. thursday. it is also in the San Diego area. using UPS ground. It was shipped the next day, Friday. I got the package at 6pm Sat.


If I had known I would hae gotten next day and paid the extra price. Btw, the tuesday del. is not confiremed. just what they hope it might arrive by. It still hasn't shown up at the local distribution center at 300 in the afternoon.

My god I wonder when the shipment I ordered from Texas will arrive, next week maybe???

I ordered from Socialsmokehookah.com who appearantly use Fedex and Hookahcompany.com. The wierd thing is I used to think Fedex was better than UPS for some reason. I guess since kinko's bought them or merged (whatever) they've gone downhill.

has anyone else experienced these issues with Fedex over UPS?

Fed Ex isn't the best. But Social is great about shipping. I am in Va and it will be here Wednesday and it was shipped on Friday. You should have yours by tuesday-wednesday.


and for your Sig, if you are trying to have the images show up instead of having a link.

you need to put

[img] your link [/mg] just add the i for the last piece.

and they will appear.

yeah, I guess it read it like I wanted an image linked. Kinda weird I left a gap. But you can link your pictures fine.

yea SB Peach is awesome. and as for shipping, SS is good at getting things out fast. I ordered Wensday, shipped thursday, arrived friday XD and i had done ground too Granted im only a good hour drive from them, but oh well

Ok good news and bad news.

bad news first its easiest. My SS order won't be here till thursday... a full week.

Good news Fedex came today with my order From Hookahcompany.com. There is one nice about them though, they come early. UPS wouldn't be here till 2 or 3.

It has a deffinate tea flavor thats reallly neat. the Odor from the Tea actually smells like Hay I think, very lightly. with a little sweetness.

Kashmir peach deffinately smells very spicy.

I got my starbuzz today.

x on the beach, raspberry and irish cream.

I'm smokin' the raspberry now, will be trying the x on the beach soon. Not a bad flavor the rasp. I like it but it wasn't glorious like when I tried Layalina and fumari for the first time.

I was smoking the tangiers with my friend. I knew it would be too much for him, though he also liked the flavor of the kashmir peach, it was too strong for him and began coughing after taking a few puffs. The funniest part was when he tired to power through a draw... lol, almost hacked up a lung! The guava was better for him but after a while we mixed it with fumari quava to cut it a little and add some more guava flavor. It was pretty good, but I knew fumari was strong flavored so I only added a 1:3 ratio. I think next time I might go 1:4.
