shisha sticking to aluminum foil ???

Recommended Posts

Guys I have only smoked my first hookah 3 times since last 2 weeks, But everytime after a session, I take a look at the foil and realised that most of the shisha are stuck to it ???

I got nice thick smoke but it just weirds me out.

is this normal ?? Also some of the shisha are not used at all I dont know why.

In this set up Im using

a chinese 17" hookah
afzal watermelon shisha
2 instant lite coals
iced water.

what could be wrong ? I packed it nicely so that theres airflow but still.

well if ya do a little more research you can see that some people like the tobacco to touch the foil and some dont. Just dont pack it into the bowl(unless its tangiers) I would try out some other tobacco becuase afzal is a shitty brand.

Nothing to worry about. Since you are using foil, it is going to sag against the tobacco when you add the coals and perhaps press on them as you move them around. If you are getting a nice clean, smooth, tastuy smoke, then don't worry about it. I use screens myself, and leave alittle gap between the screen and the tobacco myself, but its all a matter of personal prefrence really.

The reason its not all getting cooked is you aren't keeping the heat on it long enough. Add another coal before quitting. How long to you usually smoke for now on one bowl and how often to you add more coals? Eventually, if you are willing to stick with your bowl to the very last shred of flavour, the tobacco will look like alittle black puck. I rarely go quite that far myself I have to admit.

Relax and enjoy!

from what I can tell after I pack a bowl and start smoking the heat makes the shisha expand or loosen up a bit and it raises the level. I compensate by taking that into account when I pack a bowl and make it lower to start out with. That works well for me.

gee bleeding..starting to sound like someone we all knew and don't want to see back....

Afzal is a lot better than a few other brands I can name, and yes, I've actually smoked the strawberry.

I use 2 coals and dont add any later and it last probably like 30-35 mins before the coals turns completely to ash.

how do you guys light the instant lite coals fast ?? because for me i use my stove and put on the fan on its highest. if i were to add more coals , then it would mean i have to get out of my relaxed position and head to my kitchen to light another coal.

Im thinking of just placing a fresh coal on top of the burning 2, is that wise ? hehehe

Hmm,

I get the shisha sticking to the Foil, but it's never caused a problem.

However, one trick i use in my bigger bowl is to use some of the herbal stuff that i get given with just about every order, and sprinkle it on top of
of the prima shisha! This protects it from the foil and burning.

I also find that the herbal stuff gets smoking real quick whilst the
prime shisha warms up. Double bonus!

no...nasty. you dont want ot be inhaling while the quilcklites do their thing...yuck!

I'd say about near the end of your originals coals, strike up a replacement and set it on your tray. by the time it is ready to go your first set should be about cashed. You should be able to go an hour+ on a decent bowl.

For me it always sticks to the foil at the end, and I am perfectly happy to clean the bowl and see unburned shisha.
Shisha is cheap, and I currently have almost 8 kilos of it.

and with quicklights, just bring a lighter or match out where you smoke, and ignite the coal when the others die down. Toss it in the tray to smoke off all the chemicals, and puff whats left till its ready

There are different ways of lighting quick lites. If you start off with 3 coals, for example, and you have access to a stove or burner then light all three at once. They will lite withen 20 seconds and get really hot withing 45 seconds - a minute. It works great.

But if you dont have a stove or burner to use or a way to effecttively lite multiple coals is to get 3 coals out and put them on your hookah tray. Lite one with a lightsaber and when it starts to spark place it ontop of another coal. Then place the 3rd coal ontop of the coal sparking. So you will have 3 coals stacked, and the middle coal was the original one you lit first.

What this does is it lights all three coals within a minute with only actually lighting one with your lighter. It works great everytime and if youre in the middle of a bowl an dyour coals are dying, just place a few coals ontop of a fresh one on your hookah tray, and spark one or two new ones up then put the new coal son your bowl when they are fully lit...and enjoy!!

If the tobacco is high enough in the bowl, the juices boil up into the charcoal, dissolving a little charcoal and burning it onto the foil. If its real bad, the charcoal will stick to the foil. It happens, but it shouldn't affect that much.

I used to have this problem, but the only time i use foil now is with the funnel bowl, and i havent had this problem with it yet, maybe cause we rotate the foil around the bowl, hmm i dont know.

Like El you could always move to screens or just dont let the shisha touch the foil when you pack your bowls, but im still not seeing what it does, I get great smokes and the shisha always sticks to the foil
