critterchops
I received my first hookah today from hookahhookah 19" candy stripe. The shisha I used (fumari watermelon) didn't taste like anything although it made good size clouds. So I tried romman peach same thing clouds but no flavor! What's going on?? I used a three kings and foil. The flavor was so thin that I couldn't tell the difference between the watermelon and the peach!Any suggestions?? speel
I don't really have a solution just some words on my past experience. When I first recieved my hookah and started to smoke i was like what the hell everything tastes the same. But as I smoked me and broke the charcoals in halves i started to taste the difference between them.Hope I kinda helped.
mushrat
Ya, you are probably using too much heat and you may want to aclimate your shisha for a day or so if you JUST got it.Let us know if there is anything else we can do....
lilotaku
Another thing to check for is Air leaks. assemble your hookah and put the bowl on top. Put your palm on top of the bowl and take a hit on the hose to see if everything is air tite from the Bowl down. If not, this i've found is a big reason for not having any taste or lack of taste in the tobacco. Worse come to worse, it might have just been a bad batch of maassell. I got a horrible batch of romman peach on my last order.... .
EvansLight
Just like most had this problem as well back ages ago with the first hookah my friends and i had had bought together.I found that its a good combo of things. First acclimation. I know i usually dont support it, but once when you first get it can help let the shisha rest and the let juices flowing. Next do check the airflow of the hookah. Make sure none of the smoke is being let out anywhere. Since your getting good sized clouds this is more than likely not a factor. Before you pack the bowl, mix the tobacco up a bit, in whatever kind of storage device you keep it in (i keep mine in freezer bags) this will get the juices goin covering all the tobacco.Since your using foil, make sure the tobacco is touching the foil. Its the most reccomended method, and ive found it yeilds more flavour and better smoke. Just search the boards and you will find videos of people packing there bowls. Now once you get it started, as said already, make sure you manage your heat well. If you get too much heat then you will get large puffy clouds, but no flavour. Try breaking up the coal into 2 peices and putting one half on each side of the bowl.Beyond that, try getting more flavours of shisha, and more brands. One that i know to be very flavorfull is Nakhla Peach. Hope this helps
