Overall: 9/10 These are decent tongs. I like them. They are the ones in my travel kit. Can get a hold of any coal. Poker attached works for stirring but had to grind it a pit so I can use it to poke holes. Too rough just tears the foil.

Overall: 8/10 These are good tongs, but whatever reason they don’t handle my quicklights very well. I have to really think when handling them. The design on them is super nice. Poker attached works for stirring but had to grind it a pit so I can use it to poke holes. Too rough just tears the foil.

Tong Length: 2”
Tong Width: 9/16”
Tong Thickness: 1/8”

Price: $12.95

Purchased From: Caravan Trading Company http://stores.ebay.com/Caravan-Trading-Group

Overall: 10/10 This are my favorite tongs to date. They are sturdy and have handled every coal I have tried. The knotch make think it’s for opening bottles. It works only if you use half the tong not both. Hammer works great for bulk charcoal and round quicklights but not much else. Not a fan of the color of the sheath, but it’s super nice.

Traditional Bird Hookah Tongs

Tong Length: 8-3/8”

Overall: 9/10 These are pretty great tongs. Solid Brass and two copper rivets. These are quality tongs. The locking mechanism is just awesome. I wish all tongs had these. They don’t have the greatest grip, perfect for square coals. Not great on round ones. These may be my new travel tongs.

Super Jumbo Tongs

Tong Length: 13-1/2”
Tong Width: 13/16”

Price: $10.99

Overall: 8/10 These are some massive tongs. I don’t like them so much for coal management, but these are my new favorite for lighting coals. I keep these in the kitchen drawer for lighting my coals. The quality isn’t the greatest. One side has a cut out of it.

Price: $3

Purchased From: Local shop in Nashville

Overall: 10/10. These tongs are AMAZING. I just had to post a review of them. I was going to get a pair from Stuie for $7 and $5.15 shipping, but waited too long thinking about it and someone else snatched them. So when I stopped by my local shop in Nashville and saw these I was definitely surprised. They are massive. They handle any coal good. And they're so damn sexy. Goodbye Mya tongs!

Tong Length: 6"
Tong Width: 9/16"
Tong Thickness: 1/8" (Again, using Stuie's measurements, doesn't Stuie's format rock?)

Overall: 8/10. These are good tongs, but not much to look at. They get the job done. I've dropped some coals with these- just slid right out of it's grip. The included poker isn't very useful, as Stuie stated in his review. I just threw mine aside somewhere and now can't even find it. Overall though I'd recommend these as your good standard tongs.

Price: $7.95, got them with my AF Small Solid hookah.

Purchased From: HookahJohn.com

Overall: 9/10. I loved these tongs, and still miss them. I got them with my AF Small Solid hookah that I bought from John. The neatest thing about them was the locking mechanism. Made it nice for storing them. I do wanna say though that sometimes the mechanism would slide down and lock the tongs a bit, not enabling them to fully open- hence the one point deduction. Otherwise they would've gotten a perfect 10. They also didn't open as much as most other tongs anyway, but who cares with how awesome they look! Wouldn't mind picking up an extra pair someday.
