hippomania7 Posted November 8, 2008 Share Posted November 8, 2008 So here it is...the sobe hookah. I kind of got the idea from the "triple H" that was on here a while ago. Anyways, if you're interested in making one (it works great btw) its pretty cheap and I can list the materials/prices of the stuff i used. And for anyone who has a hookah, I highly recommend making one of those "cage" kinda things that you see at the top of the bowl in the pics. I bought a stainless steel mesh strainer (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/417HKoD1inL._SL160_.jpg <--looks like that) from the grocery store for 2.99 and cut the mesh part out completely from the frame, then used needle nose plyers to bend in the prickly ends inwards. Now I just foil up the bowl and slip this thing on there and it clings tight enough to prevent coal falling off as you move the hookah around. ToncSTAR Posted November 15, 2008 Share Posted November 15, 2008 i have a small hookah where the stem fits pretty snug onto the rim of a sobe bottle. ive tried it too, with the strawberry banana flavor. i gotta admit, i did taste the sobe while i was smoking, seeing i had a strawberry banana flavor in my mouth when i was smoking lemon mint..2 complete different flavors lol. It was made to to be passed around as a handheld to supplement a bigger, nicer hookah that my friends and I share. Turns out that on a good day it will produce just as much smoke.
