frost91 Posted July 24, 2008 Share Posted July 24, 2008 Many people always travel to NYC because its a torist attraction so i thought id share a bit of my knowledge on the biggest hookah hotspot in NY. Steinway street, Astoria is the place where most people go to smoke hookah. There is an excess of 15 lounges in four or five blocks. Many of the delis on Steinway Street sell tabacco and coals. For such a hot spot...you would expect them to knwo a bit about hookah....but i guess not. I went to a bar yesterday and they put 5 natural coals on the egyptian bowl...just absurd. Also, they dont clean the hookahs there....Ive been to several bars and the hose is filled with a mix of flavors. When i went last, i ordered grape and cappachino and got mint and mint.....But the deals at the hookah stores at steinway street are pretty good, i must admit. The price for Starbuzz is 17, the price for AF is 10, 3k coals 33mm is 75c a roll! They also have very nice hookahs at decent prices. Ive seen KMs for 70 bucks, without tax. Most hookahs are very cheap and you can bargain the prices with these guys. If anyone is in NY....come down to steinway...im sure you'll find some good deals!
