anathema Posted May 9, 2008 Share Posted May 9, 2008 evangelion would seem to suck balls compared to the kind of anime's that has now refined into the more random humorous styles of comedy that are out of place. it's also an anime that does more than revolve around the conventional "what are we here for/reason to live theme"some anime's w/o this conventional theme as a main would be fma, last exile (though it does have that girly character, i forget names easily), or moviesas for most of the gundam series, it's played out, same omg factions are fighting and these friends are in opposing factions.as for FLCL, probably the wittiest(real word?) anime imo. 6 episodes gets you romantic affairs/mixed feelings, robots, robot pilots, other dimensions, and a comedic sports event. does an entire story in 6 episodes which is pro.
