so very early this morning, before they opened according the their
phone service, i placed an order for a hookah, some shisha, coals,
etc... i paid for the 2nd day air hoping that it would ship today when
they opened and i could recieve it by saturday.  well it doesnt
look like that is going to happen.  i tried to call the shipping
department all day long, but they were 'currently unable to take my
call' and i never heard anything back after leaving a message.  so
far the only thing i have heard from them is an automated email
repsonse after i placed my order... im not quite sure yet what to think
of my experience as far as customer service anyway.  anyone know
how to get a hold of these guys?

call their sales number, not their customer service. Sales will ALWAYS pick up...or atleast almost always. Then you tell them your problem and tell them to tell you what you want to know. At southsmoke I talked to the same person at sales and service, so i figure its one person with 2 phones, and when the order one rings, THAT one she answers before the customer service phone.
As a note though, check their webpage and see if it says anything about time shipped. Some places are going to take a day or two to ship, then it gets shipped your 2 day air.
I guess i'm lucky, mine was a gift from my wife I had NO idea was comming, so I didn't have to sit and wait for it to show up...Just one day I had a 4 hose hookah.

the number i am calling the i-866-4hookah number.  then i press 2
to go to the shipping department.  you only get two options, and
the first one brings you to the product information.  what is the
sales number? call me blind, but i cant seem to find it.

I'd say try product information..that may lead you to a person who wants to sell you something..as opposed to the number for people who have already given them their money and are now "customers". If you know what i mean....

so appearently my package has shipped.  it shipped on
friday.  i paid for 2 day air, but under the tracking info it says
it wont arrive until this wednesday and is shipping ground domestic...
also, it says the shipping weight is 1.00lb, what is going on?

I prefer comanies who ship with DHL. THAT is exactly what Fedex and UPS need. Those DHL boys are all over it.
For future reference, I like calling George Egho on the phone and placing my orders that way. He gets it out the next day usually. Plus, it gives you an oportunity to ask silly questions.

Yup yup!

George is a really cool guy and has always been excellent at customer
service and getting orders out nice and quick. Plus he has sent me free
massell samples twice now, so that gives him two in my book!

there was a mistake in their shipping department.  so it is
shipping regular ground, but i will be getting reimbursed for the extra
shipping i paid.  i live in washinton, so its only a day or two
longer.  hopefully ill get em to send me some free samples
someday, lol.
