1. I used to order from hookah-shisha.com but I wasn't thrilled about the fact that I was ordering Tangiers (made in San Diego) from a company in Texas & having it shipped to me in L.A. Also, eventhough the prices were good, shipping took 3 or 4 business days (and upgrades to shipping were through the roof). So now I just order from hookahjohn. It's a little more expensive and he charges me tax but he ships the same day and I get the package on the next day (even if it's a Saturday). I still order from H-S on occasion...like now because John is on vacation.
2. The combat systems in those games are turn-based derivatives, though you're right...not "pure" turn-based. I rarely see any purely old-school turn-based games anymore. I could name you 3 off the top of my head for Xbox360 (Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, The Last Remnant) and an endless amount for the Nintendo DS but none for the PS3.
3. We develop clean energy projects (specifically wind) and sell the power to Southern California Edison.
4.
so, i'm interested in picking up FFXIII but, i heard it was more live action combat....which, imo, kinda goes against what i think FF should be... however, i've also read that FFXIII is fairly linear (which i actually like).... is there a FF game for the PS3 that's pretty linear and involves the turn-based combat system?
Do you want to know if there are any actual Final Fantasy games (aside from XIII) on PS3 or are you looking for similar games? FFXIII is the only FF for PS3 but some linear turn-based RPGs you can check out are Eternal Sonata (kind of childish in appearance but actually pretty deep and philosophical story-wise), Valkyria Chronicles (strategy RPG with a deep battle system), Resonance of Fate (also somewhat strategy-like).
5. I routinely get screwed by UPS but FedEx has been pretty solid. They even deliver to me on Saturdays without any extra shipping charges. I have never had UPS deliver anything to me on a Saturday. Unless you specifically pay for the UPS "Saturday Delivery" option, they won't even consider it. The UPS nightmare list is endless for me. It probably just comes down to different drivers, areas & management.
6. I loved the following: Montecristo: #2, #5 (nice, small smoke), Petit Tubos (same as Monte #4, but sold in an aluminum tube) Cohiba: Robusto, Siglo VI Partagas: Series D #4 Romeo y Julieta: Churchill Cohibas seem to the most expensive, and unfortunately I encounter too many problems with them for the price. They tend to be packed extremely tight & can have some seriously frustrating draw problems. Out of all the Cohibas I've smoked, I've settled on the two listed above (along with any Limitadas you can find...they had a great Piramide for 2006...one of the best I've had). Montecristo seems to be the most reliable for me. I love the taste, the prices are somewhat more reasonable and they don't have too many draw problems.
7. This used to happen to me a lot and I never knew what it was from. It wasn't nicotine for me, nor was it taking huge pulls (not enough oxygen). For me, it happened every time I used Exotics coals. For some reason I have a really bad reaction to these. I may be very sensitive to them because no one else I know has that reaction (pounding 6 hour headache, sweating, increased blood pressure, nausea). Your friend could have been sensitive to the coals or it could have just been the nicotine for him. For the record, once I switched coals I never had a bad reaction again.
8. Hello everyone, Just a quick question. Sometimes when smoking Tangiers, I notice when I'm done that only the very top layer is burned and the rest of the shisha is completely untouched and juicy. Is it OK to remove this top layer and then put the rest of the shisha back in the tupperware container? I would imagine it would be fine but I don't want to taint the flavor of the rest of the shisha left in the tupperware.
9. It could possibly be coal management. How does your shisha smell in the container? Do they smell like the flavor they are supposed to be? They shouldn't have *any* of that bbq/soy sauce smell anymore, otherwise I imagine they would be pretty flavorless while smoking. I have the same problem sometimes as well. I recently started using coconara coals and the flavor has been much better. I've noticed that some flavors are way stronger than others. For example, I thought pineapple was kind of subtle, whereas any of the kashmir flavors are very much "in your face". Unfortunately, I have been unable to ever get any flavor from Horchata, although the shisha smells wonderful both in the tupperware & from the smoke coming from the bowl when I place the coals. I've never been able to get any flavor out of this shisha, even after going through nearly a kilogram of it. Tangiers is temperamental but worth it when you get all of the variables correct. I have an espresso machine like that...it's part of the fun for me.
10. The only time I have a problem with stems is when I buy 250g cans of Romman. I've never seen so many HUGE stems in shisha...not even in Nakhla. Last time I got the Turkish Coffee and Chocolate flavors that were at least 25% filled with very large, thick stems. I don't think I will get Romman anymore for this reason, or if I do I will just stick with the 50g packages. I usually don't mind stems but I also don't want to be overloaded with them.
11.
When I smoked cigarettes, I smoked and drove all the time. However, I didn't have to worry about heat management or loose coals rolling around on the floor.
Same here...but even then, on occasion, the cigarette would drop on my lap or maybe even through the side of my shoe. I can't imagine what burning, flying coals would do to a driver.
