Best Place To Buy In Uk?
mohinder replied to Hassouni's topic in Discussion Group for all Hookah Lovers
If you go in the right places on Edgware Road you can get nakhla for £10 and AF for about £15-17, try the grocery stores. There's one with a load of KMs in the window. There are some really overpriced places in Edgware too though. -
If the 'black and gold bohemian' is the fourth one from left in the pictures of the vases, I'll take it. I'm in the UK but work out the shipping and I'll pay it. I'm not in a hurry for it so speedy shipping isn't a concern, but wrap it up good! I'll pay the extra weight of a few laps of bubble wrap I posted this up on the other forum, but I'm not within the required posts, I'm not sure how it works. Either way you can have the money cleared in your account including shipping before you post it, I want that vase in my life! My name on the other forum is pardonthewait
I've put this on the other place too but have to withdraw this, just had a nasty shock from my online banking! No money left Sorry dude

The New Nour! (Now With New Vase!)
mohinder replied to mitchard's topic in Discussion Group for all Hookah Lovers
Looks really really good on the bohemian vase. I'm really feeling a Nour right now... Have to get it from the US as far as I know though -
I'm the other way around - never tried coconaras but I absolutely love my Cocochas. Cocochas are the same company, thoms, as Cocobricos. They're awesome, no taste, no smell, go for ages. So I can't help with which is better but I wholeheartedly recommend cocochas, cheap and excellent.

A Bowl Of Double Apple
mohinder replied to Dogseatfood's topic in Discussion Group for all Hookah Lovers
I dunno, I can't stand licorice and I like nakhla and AF double apple, one of my staples. I can definitely taste the anise, I just don't mind it for some reason. -
So UK lads, I'm moving to London for several months in about 6 weeks (I'm currently there now, heading back to the US until September tomorrow morning). What do AF and Nakhla usually run for? Am I better off bring off several packs with me in my suitcase? I can get Nakhla for $6 and AF for 9 or so back home
Usually tends to be Nakhla for £8-10 and AF for £15-17. Probably can be haggled down a bit. Although saying that the Nak I got yesterday for £8 feels underweight, I think it might be really old. Tenner everywhere else. Main problem is that there isn't anything else except AF and Nak, and even then it's not all the flavours. Just the staples really.

Oh! I did see a couple of Pears at Al Baraka. They had some single green pear ones. Might have to grab one at some point. Holding out for hookahshop to get a double black pear in though.
Yeah deffo what hassouni said! Edgware road is much better! Queensway does have a few hookah places but the variety isnt as good as edgwere road! Deffiently check out Eroad! And woah! £35 for KMs is dirt cheap! I also got my trimetal for about £60!
I went to both again today, Queensway's gone downhill! The guy I usually go to who had loads of AF and some fake AF which is actually pretty good, had sod all. All empty boxes. I said 'well what have you got then?' and he was like 'cherry'. Blah! I did get a charcoal holder for £8, new tongs too because I lost my good ones and I regularly drop charcoal with the stupid flat Mya tongs. Got some Nak from there, then went to Edgware, saw the cheap KMs, lots of plain ones all really similar, nice though. Saw the Trimetals too, one heart ones, only ones I saw with prices on were £65, still nice though. Didn't ask prices in Al Baraka. Got myself an orange KM hose for £7, one of the cheapo style ones. I find they smoke just fine but obviously don't last all that long. Been on the lookout for an orange hose to go with my new trimetal with the orange vase. They had really nice clear floral KM vases in one of the places too. Got some Nak as well while I was at it. Anyone else noticed there's hardly any AF about lately? I didn't see even 20% as much as when I was last up there. Anyone know why? This is multiple shops too in Queensway AND Edgware.

Natural Coals Vs. Insta Light Coals
mohinder replied to Coleman's topic in Discussion Group for all Hookah Lovers
Always naturals, I haven't used one QL since I got hold of natural coals. I only smoke at my place so I don't suppose it'll ever really come up. Maybe camping or something but I don't suppose I'll ever take my hookah camping. QLs just gave me headaches and tasted foul. -
The grocery store didn't have pears to my recollection, but Amazon had the World Cup football ones, and possibly a tri-metal, can't fully remember. Still man, those are amazing prices for a KM...
Too right. I paid £50 for my trophy and that was an awesome price for the UK I thought. £62 for my trimetal. I'm in London for a few days at my girlfriends, going to go to edgware and queensway in a couple of days, I'll have a good look at both places.
Yo just got back from a 5 hour walk all throughout West London. Al Mustafa is just display looking shishas, nothing I'd want to smoke out of, and they seem expensive. Excellent news though: Two locations have a big line up of KMs, not super huge ones, but ranging from say 26-32 inches, for, here's the kicker: 35-55 pounds! That's SO much cheaper than anywhere online. The two places are Al-Baraka grocery, with a maroon colored awning all in Arabic (with a tiny sign saying Baraka in English), on the left side of the road as you walk up from Marble Arch. Recognize it from the awning and hookahs outside Amazon, with a big blue sign in English, also lots of hookahs on display. These are AMAZING prices, I'm half tempted to get one myself... :
I saw the grocery when I was up there before, but I wasn't all that clued up and didn't know if they'd be legit or not, now I'd know I think. Did they have single or double pear KMs, if you remember? I got my Gelato from Al Mustafa, it was quite expensive. I wanted a QT or a Bambino but they couldn't find it, they just had the box! I don't remember what I paid for the Gelato but it was a bit over the odds and was only even that 'cheap' because it was at the QT price because she couldn't find it. She kept trying to feed me some egyptian cakes/sweets.

Availablity Of Coals
mohinder replied to Amn_sinclair's topic in Discussion Group for all Hookah Lovers
How long are you in Germany for? Coals are so cheap over there, get on shisha-world.com and buy a three kilo box of cocochas for €7.39, that'll sort you right out. http://www.shisha-world.com/lshop,showdeta...naturkohle,.htm I know it doesn't help you tonight, but for coals Europe's amazing Rubbish for everything else though :/ -
How Often Do You Clear Smoke From Your Base?
mohinder replied to combs08's topic in Discussion Group for all Hookah Lovers
Quite often if the base is see-through, I like watching it fill up with smoke again Otherwise, only when I cock it up and get it harsh. -
QUOTE (Priapus @ Jun 28 2009, 05:04 PM) is the fake stuff that good? what flavours do you recommend? i'm trying to get my local shop to get ahold of some layalina and jap coals, he said he'll try to get some. wheres the shop in edgeware that does the homebrew stuff? would you be willing to go halves on it? I've only tried the watermelon but I really like it, it's nice and it's easy. It looks a bit like Nakhla but it works like AF, basically. The shop in Edgware that had the locally made/sourced stuff was Al Mustafa but she wanted something silly for it like £15 or £20
