1.

ummm, overpacking is when you put too much tobacco in the bowl.
Haha, yea obviously but how much is too much for a tangiers small phunnel
If you think you've put enough in, put in more...... I literally go to about a half inch above the rim of the bowl with Tangiers. Then push it down with your palm..... It should go to about flat. If its mounded, then its probably too much, but its REALLY hard to overload Tangiers, much easier to underload.
 2. Nope they closed down, I double checked last time I was in Spokane. I live in Pullman so I'm not up there often, but they are in fact closed.
 3. All the pipes in my collection serve a specific purpose. KM Pharonie- Solo smoke, or smoking with the roommate Maya QT - Party pipe. Its not gunna get knocked over (or not as easliy) if it breaks i'm not out as much, and its 2 hose. Leila - Long Car Trips. I know we've had this discussion on the forum before, so let me say, I will never smoke with just myself in the car. Usually we use the leila when we are driving to concerts. Our DD doesn't smoke, so we just hang out in the back and smoke. AF Medium Solid- Ok, so this one doesn't have a specific purpose other than if i have a group of close friends over, i can set up 2 decent sized pipes so we don't have to pass as much. KM Red 2 Pear - Lives at my house, but doesn't belong to me. Belongs to my best friend, and we smoke it when she comes by.
 4. I've made several out of hotel shampoo bottles (or alot of stores sell them for like $1). The biggest upside is that it makes your hookah really quiet. I've combined the diffuser with my pharoine, small phunnel, and AS hose, and have actually had people take a hit, and with the big draw of the AS and the silence of the diffuser, they ask "Am I doing this right" and they are sending a big puff of smoke out. Pretty funny to see even from friends that have smoked with me in the past from the QT
 5. So, my roommates parents are going to Egypt, and he's looking at having them bring him back a KM. Just wondering where the best bets are as far as picking one up, and not getting super ripped off for being a tourist. Also, is there anything else that would be unique to Egypt in the hookah market that they should be on the lookout for?
 6.
Update sportsfan? They like it?
Sadly enough, after the show they decided to hit the sack (being old and all they get tired), maybe next time, either way, it was still awesome to me how receptive they were to something they truly didn't understand.
 7.
Reminds me of a time over the summer when I brought my hookah to a friends place. We were smoking outside and my buddy's parents came out. They ended up sitting with us and tried out a nice mix of lemon and mint. would have never thought them to be open to the idea of hookah.
Exactly, I'm used to having to hide it from "real adults", my parents included, but the fact that they showed up with beer for their under aged daughter and her friends should have told me that they would be really receptive to it. Hopefully i can talk them into joining me for a session tonight.
 8. So, my roommates girlfriends parents were in town today. We figured, Ok sweet, they'll come pick up Lacey (my roommates girlfriend) and we'll be free to do whatever. Well as it turns up, they show up with 5 6 packs of assorted beer (rouge dead guy, shock top......) anyways, my hookah and shisha is displayed in the living room. They all noticed when they walked in, but none of them had the guts (for lack of a better word) to say anything about it. However after a few beers, that changed in a hurry. All of them immediacy were assuming NHT and NH. Which doesn't surprise me in the least. It was really awesome though because they were very receptive to an explanation of what it is and how it works. I broke out the Starbuzz Pumpkin Pie containers (one of the strongest smelling shisha in existence IMO) and let them smell and they were all blown away. We are going to a play that their Lacey is in and i'm hoping to invite them back after wards to actually experience hookah, as we were rushed for time beforehand and they were so excited about it. I know there have been stupid amounts of threads about this in the past but i was so excited about the positive response from people much older than me (me being 21, them being in their late 40s) that i thought i would share.
 9. I'm assuming you plan to do something like THIS. I've considered doing something similar.. To answer, i think you should go with non-traditional one.... makes the most sense if your trying to put your own spin on it.
 10. I worked at a camp when i was younger (it was a boy scout camp as opposed to a YMCA camp but i would assume the idea would be the same) and it was one of the best experiences of my life. The pay there was shit too.... it was 100 a week, plus room and board, and i was a life guard so i had one of the longest hours at the camp.... I had to be up at 6am for a polar bear swim, and got to bed about 10 or 11 at night after all the night programs. The only time we got off was saturday at noon to sunday at noon.... 24 whole hours.... and it was a 2 hour drive each way for me to go home. which i did every weekend just to see my family and do laundry. I wouldn't trade that experience for the world though.

 12.

Its the old soccer ball KMs...back for 2010! The old ones were brass core...these I don't know about. I just saw some of the new models the other day, including that one, they look pretty good. Some of them seemed a little weird...but I've always liked the soccer ball one.Good choice. Did you get the silver-colored or brass-colored one?
Silver colored. Got it from hookah-shisha they only offered the silver one I'm just hoping it has good pull. Do you know if the km hoses are washable?
They are not washable..... Your only choices for washable hoses are the Nammor, Razan, Narbish, and Grand (someone add if i forgot)..... Then there is like the AF healthy hose but eh, go with one of the 4 I listed if your looking for a quality washable hose..... I actually use a KM AS hose and just blow it out every time.
 13.
That's pretty cool about getting those bonuses in your order. I don't really know what's up with that legislation in WA, but I got a decent size order from John about a month ago that had at least 1kg of shisha and everything was fine. It may be up to the vendor, as it seems, if they want to send it or not. My advice, next time order from John and get some Nakhla/Tangiers...
There is really no way to enforce the legislation out of state..... Really the only thing they could do is tax the recipient..... So vendors really choose whether or not they want to ship to Wa State.... I talked to john just after the law was passed and that's the consensus we came to anyways.
 14. What did you think of white frog? Its the only beer i've had from the Issy brewery and i thought it was quite good. I go to school in pullman and the bar in our student union building (yes we have a bar IN the student union building) has 44 beers on tap. That one from issy, a few from deschutes, and a few of the rouge brews.
 15. Never had that problem..... everyone i've EVER smoked with has been in awe with both my gear, and my bowl loading ability.... every once and a while i get someone who tries to move the coals...... generally i'll let them play around with them, if i don't like how they end up putting them, i just move them where they should be..... my favorite is when people put the coal over the middle of the phunnel though..... i let them take a few hits and when the smoke dies down i explain to them why they should just let me deal with the coals. The biggest complain i get though is "that's a little harsh"....... most of the time its with tang, and new people smoking it..... on occasion though its just because i forget that i have lungs of steel and need to tone it down a bit for some of my friends. Never burning the baccy, but keeping it nice and hot for sure. I can only imagine how irritated i'd be if someone said something like that though..... depending on how much i had been drinking, i'd probably tell them just to go home to their hookah then if its that much better, luckily, never had that problem.
