Went online to price some accessories and found the place with everything i wanted in stock (though perhaps not always the best price) was southsmoke.com. When my order came, the bag I recieved was NOT the bag I ordered. The one advertised was "heavily padded" this one was completely unpadded. One of the screens was missing a chunk from poor production, and the wind cover I bought was being drop shipped from another location and would be here some day soon. I tried to call their 24/7 customer support line. The extension for actual customer support said please leave a messege, they'd get back to me. Managed to get someone in order department who said the old bags had padding, the new ones don't no matter what the web site says. I explained I wanted to return my entire order for a refund. She said she'd have someone get back to me. Still waiting. And now all calls go directly to "leave a messege". Has anyone else ever had a problem with southsmoke.com or am I just lucky that way? And finally, can anyone recommend a reliable site that they have actually ordered from and received good service? The service seems fine usually, except I'm pissed because I ordered what I thought would be Nour natural coals, and they sent me Al-Manara coals, which are absolutely awful. They stink up my house and make the smoke bad. I complained to them because they have a bag of Nour when you click on the picture for natural coals and they said they'll forward my complaint to their "corporate office." What a bunch of crap. The yhad a picture of the real Japanese coals at one time (which are awsome) and they sent me the cheapest garbage imitation ones. Half of them were broken and they had an "off taste." I never contacted them. Why bother, since it took almost a month to get to my house in the first place. NOTE-- They are not on my "Favorites" button on my brouser. Even though they have a picture of the Nour bag on there the description is natural coal fingers. I think its the same for the Japanese Coals even though they have a picture of Golded Charcoal. I guess I am kinda on the fence on wheather I should order from them again. I havent had bad luck but I will call first to make sure they have the stuff I want and use the internet to buy because of the "Smoke Points" I am saving up. The latest news is that the SAY they are sending a fed-ex shipping label for the package and will be refunding my money. I'll keep y'all informed. I guess its off to socialsmoke or hookah hub. Can anyone suggest a good carrying bag? I was going to use all my new goodies to bring my hookah to an SCA war on tuesday. Now I'm stuck with the Naklah(?) two apple and some brand of strawberry I was able to get locally and the original shipping box to keep it safe. Thanks again... I know that I come off as shipping obsessed. But, if this company is willing to rip someone off sooooo badly for shipping, then they may try to hose you in other ways. Also, they have a warehouse in British Columbia, (in Canada) so I don't understand why they charge so much. For all those who've tried hookah hookah, what is the #1 must have flavour and what other flavours taste good? I really like very strong flavours so I don't want to order something where the taste will be barely detectable...also I was considering ording some Saet Safa but have never smoked it before? Mathazar will tell you hazelnut, and margarita but from my esperiece it was not as strong as I was expecting. I havent tried grape and I think he might recomend that too.
