I think I found a winner here..

La Gloria Cubana Wavell Natural Robusto..

The ultimate cigar.. the wrapper smelt sweeter than any of the other wrappers, and when I clipped the end I could smell that sweet tobacco aroma. When I lit and smoked it.. it was awesome. Sweet, wonderful, addicting smoke. I know I got a good cigar when I want to eat it, and this bad boy made me wanna bite into it and chew on it.

And these only cost $4.85 each. Sweet! laugh.gif

They got them in Maduro wrappers too. Maybe I should check those out.

Almost $80 a box for these, though.. woof!

Edit: Huh, these only rate at a 90 on the reviews. The Maduro's rate 4 points higher. Hmmmm.. Edited by JDHarding

Another notable cigar in this sampler is the Baccarat Rothschild Maduro. The tobacco wasn't that special, but the wrapper on this thing was super sweet. I think they soaked it in sugar water or something. Extremely sweet! I have other Maduro wrapper cigars, but this one is by far the sweetest Maduro wrapper. Too bad the smoke was just typical cigar smoke.

Another cigar to mention in this pack.. the CAO America Potomac Natural.. besides being a very American cigar (with flags and stars and red/white/blue all over the 2 rings on it, 2 rings!) this bady is a big 56 ring sucker! The wrapper is interesting too. The color is natural, but there's a lighter line spiraling around it. Looks neat. The smoke is nice, mild, and it's the first cigar that the smoke tickled my nose and made me actually sneeze. Very mild, but it's a BIG smoker. BIG. A mouthful kind of cigar. Lightly sweet, lightly flavored smoke with a mild sweet wrapper. Nummy. I also have a CAO Maduro, but it wasn't anything to write home about. The wrapper was very mildly sweet, and the smoke was mild too. This American one stands out more. Crazybigstogie. smile.gif

Hehe.. I just destroyed the Sancho Panza Vallente. I obliterated it! Smoked it till my fingers burned.. hell.. smoked it till my lips burned! Not a bad cigar, but.. the construction of it makes it impossible to smoke up to the ring. The middle burns faster than the wrapper. Might have been a lighting mistake on my part. I light the wrapper, but shit.. the flame wanted that filler! Not recommended!

the Sancho Panza is also one of the best cigars for the money, especially the maduro another 90+ rated cigar i think they go for less then $3

*nods*

I bought a 50 pack of Dannemann Cigarillos.. they sent me those Cafe Creme cigarillos and the blues were pretty good, but low rated, so I went for Dannemann's cause of the higher rating and cheaper price. 50 for about $30. I think they rated 98.

Blech.. hwagh.. puke.. gah..

Well I finished up some of the cigars from that sampler pack.. I really should have kept the rings on them.. but they were nasty.. dogrockets, mostly. Fowl.. I dunno if it's the cheap butane I bought, or the homemade humidor I'm temporarily storing them in.. I found an old bare wood box that originally had a couple wine bottles in it. I'm not sure what wood it is, but I rubbed the inside down with water, and left a shotglass of water in it. I don't think after a couple days it would have caused those cigars to be that nasty. There was one good one in the bunch, but the rest were fowl. The first part of them were okay, but as they burned down (and most of them would only burn in the middle) they got nasty, except for the one good one. I think that was my favorite one I previously mentioned. Nice and sweet. Mmmm. So good.

I got my other 25 pack of cigar samples. The GH#5's really are delicious cigars. I noticed I got many more Panza's, which is that cigar I totally destroyed. Lol. Not a bad cigar, just not something I wanted 5 more samples of. Oh well. These are much larger than that cigar, and couldn't even fit the box I had them in. I had to place them length wise. I'm guessing they're 7 inchers. I hope my homemade box isn't making my cigars gross.

Some of the 5 packs were actually packaged with a thin length of cedar wood. Weird, but cool. However, kinda pointless considering each cigar had a celophane wrapper on it. What good is the wood then? Silly.
