Many people misunderstand the hookah and that there's nothing illegal about it or anything having to do with it. I'm in the Navy and my superiors ask me why i'm on a hookah website and if i'm doing anything that would get me kicked out. just giving me shit for the most part, but in the military, appearance is everything. if it appears to be illegal, then they consider it to be so. in fact, any water pipe, including a hookah, is considered drug paraphernalia to the Navy. that's why if my ship goes over to the gulf and i buy a hookah there, i have to get it mailed home. i can't bring it on the ship. i'm sure that roumers will take care of me and before you know it, i'll have a piss test every week. oh well. i try to educate everyone i can. my supervisors can choose to over look it, or they can be jerks and take disciplinary action.

does anyone else know where i'm comming from? or is the Navy all by itself on this one?

Personally I usually go to www.shoutcast.com and go to the right side and click the dropdown for genre, from there I usually go with something reggae or something middle eastern. I would really recomend checking the site out, great free internet radio of all types...

oh god I am starting to sound like an ad bot lol

its the opposite in the air force, alot of people in my dorm will smoke with me. ive told my old first shirt about the hookah and he doesnt have a problem with it, no one has really linked the hookah with illegal stuff. they know its not for that. one guy bought his hookah while deployed and brought it back with him.

Culture is to make a nice drinking bowl from one's enemy's skull. Civilization is to go to prison for that.

"Young (1989), in an exhaustive review of the Exchange Theory literature on marital worth in the United States, came to the following basic conclusions:...An extensive sexual history including such things...as being a rapist will have a strong negative influence on one's perceived marital worth." --Perceptions of Acceptable Mate Attributes in Ecuador. Journal of Comparative Family Studies; Spring2003, Vol. 34 Issue 2, p171, 15p

Well no sh*t, a woman doesn't want to marry a rapist! And I needed a study to tell me that?

I am in the Navy and ran a successful hookah retail business while on active duty. Depends on your supervisor I guess. Just continue to eductae them and show them videos of our Sailors and Marines smoking hookah while stationed overseas.

maybe you can show your superiors this site, so they can see hookah is not illegal and has nothing to do with drugs.

my gf's dad just recently retired from the navy and he brought her a hookah back from the middle east. maybe they didn't give a shit because he was in the top ranks (i think just below admiral but he might have been higher not real sure he doesnt talk about his work much but i know he ordered a shit ton of people around on the ships to load bombs on planes and he is fuckin diesel and beats the shit out of his people when they fuck up)

but yea he brought his back on the boat with no problems. they even offered to wrap it for him lol
